Update: The thermometer did exactly what I needed it to do. It alerted us to a fever in my baby while she was sleeping and we were able to get her to the hospital right away. Very happy with the accuracy/reliability of the reading.BUT some additional cons. The stickers do not last 3-4 times as the seller suggests. The sticker leaves a film on the skin and the monitor that you have to peel off. It comes off easily, but all stickiness for reuse is gone. We have started using a bandaid or something similar to hold the monitor in place as the stickers are not available for purchase anywhere. Also, the battery life isn't great. Less than 24 hours (18-19 in my experience). Not a huge deal, but if you're trying to stretch out the stickers by waiting until it dies, you're not getting very far. It does charge quickly, though.Pros: The product seems accurate and is very comfortable to use. The display is clear. The seller said that the range is about 10 meters and I think we're close to testing that range and it seems to work fine. Haven't needed it to alert yet. I'll edit if I find it doesn't work for whatever reason.Cons:- The seller claims it only reads Celsius... Mine reads Fahrenheit, which is great because that's what I want it to do, but I don't see a way to switch it if you wanted it to read another way. Very odd. - The charging cable it comes with is very short, honestly pointless to include (12 in maybe?), but it's a micro USB which is used for nearly everything so didn't have an issue finding a charger that works.- BIGGEST con, and the reason for the lost star, it only comes with 10 adhesive stickers. They say you can use each 3-4 times, but even then you max out at 40 uses. I cannot find replacements anywhere which is very frustrating for a mom who wants to use this daily while my kiddo is getting chemotherapy.Great product for infrequent use. May need to find something else if you intend to use daily.

Although this thermometer cost $20 I would have paid $120 without batting an eye for the peace of mind it has given me. My 2 year old had a complex febrile seizure in the middle of the night that lasted upwards of 40 minutes last week and it was due to a sudden spike in fever. This device has an alarm that goes off at 100.4°F-the exact temperature febrile seizures can start at. This product has given me back the ability to go to sleep at night without fear of not knowing when my daughter is in danger. This product is absolutely phenomenal and I would recommend it to anyone needing to monitor temperatures whether for the young or the elderly.

I purchased this when both of my children came down with a upper respiratory cold. I used it for my 1 year old and found the first night it was 1 degree off, but not a big deal. By the second night the the alarm kept going off all night long even though she was under 100. Didn't use it the 3rd night.

Great product! My daughter had thr flu and was running a fever and tou know how high they can get so placed the probe and sent her to bed at 2:30 in the morning the alarm sounded and I was able to give her some more medicine for a better night's sleep! Love that I dont need an app on my phone to see it at any second. 2 downfalls you cannot purchase more double sided stickers so would love to have a recommended options for an alternative. And it is a few points of a degree off. But honestly I think that is any thermometer.

It is a good thermometer, however, it would be better if it had an option to switch the units of measurement readings (C / F). Also, the ability to use it without staying plugged to a power source.

I got the item really good presentation... only that i was suppose to receive a celsius read only instead i got farenheit... and there is no button to change the configuration of it...

This product is easy to use and read. The alarm went off multiple times with a high reading when no fever was present.
