I couldn't have been happier with this case! Sticks to anything metalic and does it well, It's on my refigerator sometimes to cook. Then I use the provided magnetic strips and it attaches to my car's center console in great view. I'd have to say that it looks to have a better drop protection compared to the Apple silicone case I also own. Still it feels sooo good in your hands and is sooo functional!Tony

I have the iPhone 7 Plus. I gave three stars because I like being able to place my phone on the refrigerator or other metal surfaces. However, the magnet strips that the MagBak comes with coupled with the magnet in the actual case are not strong enough to hold my phone in place in my truck. At least not while it is motion anyway. If I take the slightest curve the phone just falls on the ground. The ability to mount it in my truck was the primary reason for my purchase so I am disappointed. If I was able to mount the second strip to my dash then it probably would hold.

MagbakI bought the magbak for my iPhone 7 Plus which isn't listed here yet. I got the black case.I have used the Bungajungle magnetic mount and the Scoshe mounts in the past and have been somewhat of not mostly satisfied with them. The one issue that they both run into is that you need to find a place for the mounting plates on your phone which adds a bulge to your case if you put it on the inside or a metal plate to the back of your case if you put it on the back of the case.I ordered the Magbak for a number of reasons. First I ordered it because it comes with a case that has the plates/magnets inside while keeping a slim case profile. From pictures I thought the case looked pretty good but when I got it, I was impressed.The branding is subdued and mostly inconspicuous and in general the case looks a lot like the Apple. The materials feel good as well. It is a smooth rubber or silicone so it will not get stuck going in and out of jeans pockets but there are more grippy strips on the side that look like more glossy plastic. They are not super grippy but enough to feel a little more secure holding your phone.The design is very basic and simple but also elegant and clean. It has lay on the table design for the screen as well as the big camera bulge. It has full coverage with good buttons for sleep wake and volume buttons and a good sized cutout for the silent switch. Also the cutouts for the lightning port and speakers on the bottom are precisely cut but I think most docks should be ok to use with the case. I'm using a standard sized glass screen protector and the case doesn't touch it and still provides enough of a lip to keep it off tables.Another interesting point of the case is that it actually uses magnets and not just a steel plate so it can help to grip and properly align the case and mount. This means that your phone will still to metal cabinets or desks. I thought I might not like this because it may stick to things I don't want it to, but this hasn't been a problem and I like being able to stick it to my metal drawer above my desk so I can view it mounted above me.I really liked the mount because it is very inconspicuous. It doesn't protrude very far and it blends in with the rest of your center console. When I showed friends the mount in my car, they didn't even notice it.I had problems mounting it in my car. I have an older Lexus IS250 and there just aren't many perfectly flat surfaces on my console. I tried to mount it using the provided adhesive and it just didn't work. The slight curvature meant that it wouldn't stick throughout the length of the mount which meant the adhesive couldn't support the weight of the phone. I had read on their site that foam tape could be used for curved mounting and so I ended up using 3M adhesive from the hook mounts. This adhesive doesn't hold up to heat very well and so I'm fortunate that my car is typically parked out of the sun and when it is in the sun, my sunshade and tint seem to be enough to keep my car cool so that the adhesive doesn't fail on me. I put two small strips of this adhesive on the ends of the mount and then one long strip over the whole thing to account for the curvature of my console. It holds very tight and keeps my phone stable. I can press the home button without issues and have never really worried about it falling off. I also really like being able to use it in landscape both ways(home button on left/home button on right).This whole setup works for me. You don't have the angles or versatility of the Scosche mount because you have control of the angle of your phone but with the Magbak I have a inconspicuous and clean mount that holds my phone well without affecting my compass or gps. I also don't have to worry about putting an adhesive steel plate on my case of phone. I did reduce a star because I think the mount could have come with adhesive for curved consoles that was heat resistant since I imagine this is going to be a problem for a lot of people. I also would like to see a raised mount and a mount that could have some slight angle adjustment for trickier curved consoles.Overall this works great for me and I can't wait to see what else is in store for future iterations of the Magbak. The price is goo, the idea just works, and it works with a case that I actually really like. In my experience with the Magbak for my iPhone 7 Plus, I can happily recommend this.

Flimsy case. Magnets do not stand up to heat. This is also significantly higher priced then other similar products. If all that wasn’t bad enough, I’ve ordered a couple of different cases and keep getting an obviously used product. Do not trust this seller.

I plan on keeping my iPhone 7 another 2 years and this seems to be keeping it safe enough. My favorite benefit is using this at the gym. The case is magnetic so I can stick it right to the gym equipment, making it very easy to log my workout as I go.
