What A Deal!
I live in a 3,500-square-foot home with two floors. A thick lava rock wall surrounds my gated property (I'm in Hawaii). I needed a doorbell that would transmit at a distance through lava rock and reach all corners of my home. I assumed that I would need a professionally (costly) wired solution, but I decided to give this wireless solution a try. I was very skeptical. This was October 2020.Well, the solution has worked perfectly with the doorbell receiver located in my living room. The only problem I ever had over the years was that if we were in a remote part of our house (master bedroom, master bathroom, upstairs office/guest room), we might not hear the bell clearly. So, in 2024, on a whim, I ordered three more of the units. While I only needed the receivers, the whole unit was so inexpensive that I just bought three complete sets.So now I have doorbell receivers in my living room, master bedroom, master bathroom, and upstairs office/guest room - all working off of one wireless transmitter located at least 100' away on the other side of a rock wall! I was afraid the signal might not reach the far ends of my home, but it does with no problem at all.And the final stunner about this solution? In the four years I've had it, I'VE NEVER HAD TO CHANGE THE BATTERY IN THE TRANSMITTER! All I can say is, "What a deal!"

Works Right Out Of The Box
Update 6/19/2019I finally got it installed and it works great and just as described. The chime unit is plugged into an outlet underneath the kitchen table and can be heard every where in the 1100 square foot cabin.Bought this for installation at a North Woods cabin. Haven't installed it yet but I did some pretty fair testing so I could return it within the 30 day return window if there were problems. First, it worked right out of the box. I didn't need to install a battery or remove that little plastic battery tab, like so many products with pre-installed batteries require. Second, there was no requirement to pair the ring button and the receiver. Just plug the receiver into an outlet, push the button and you get a Ding Dong. Third, the volume and the Chime are set to a good volume and a pretty standard ring sound (Ding Dong). The are 50 chime settings available in the receiver if you want to fiddle with it, but the standard bell is just fine. Fourth, the range of the system is advertised at 500 feet. I didn't test it at that distance but I did try it at various distances inside my 1800 sqft house and it worked every time. It was loud enough to hear the bell from every where I tested it. Fifth, I took the button part apart to check for water intrusion prevention. The electronics are protected by careful design and a molded rubber gasket. The model I purchased is a bit more expensive and is rated at IP68 which means waterproof. I don't think the rain will get into this, even if mounted fully exposed to the elements. Sixth, it will probably take you longer to FIND the screwdriver you need to install the push button, than to actually install it. Although a tiny screwdriver is included, you will probably want a bigger one to get more torque on the installation screws.I don't know about battery life of the 23A batteries. These are the same batteries I use in my garage door opener key pad and I usually get a couple of years per battery. Total usage should probably be very similar between the 2 devices. If battery life is problematic I will do an update. This is a great, no fuss system that is easy to install.

Fantastic for my classroom door!
I'm a teacher and my district started a new safety policy where classroom doors must be kept locked at all times. It was very hard to hear knocks over the noise of classroom discussions, and this doorbell completely solved that issue in a very fun way! It was very easy to install and worked immediately. I love having many different options for music tones that are soothing and still audible above our lively conversations. I changed the tone for the first time today and found it very easy to pop the face off of the doorbell in order to sync it with a new tone, which was also pretty simple to do by bringing it close to the plugged-in receiver and holding the receiver volume button down for 5 seconds after I had chosen the new tone. It's not obvious that the face can be taken off and the doorbell is visible but not so noticeable that students from other classrooms walking are tempted to try to play with it. This has dramatically improved my classroom experience and I look forward to hearing the chime now and knowing students or guests are arriving. The price was so good that I bought a second one to have on hand just in case - I don't think I'll want to be without this awesome little piece of technology again!

Cannot replace battery
This lasted for almost 7 years through snow, rain and heat. However, unlike another brand, you cannot replace the battery. The ringer still works fine and kinda bummed I had to throw that away , too.
