It’s alive!!
A little on the pricey side, but this is the feistiest sourdough starter I have ever baked with. In the past it’s taken a few weeks to get my starter going well enough to bake with, this one was useable as soon as it was reconstituted. Delicious and easy to bake with .

Great sourdough starter - love the flavor. Directions online were clear and easy to follow. Have made bread and been happy with the results - very active and flavorful.

Superior activity and flavor
This starter consistently makes a delicious, high quality loaf of sourdough bread. I keep the starter in the refrigerator and feed it weekly. When it is fed, it triples in volume within 8 to 10 hours. It has been going strong for 6 months, with no change in quality. I am very happy with my purchase.

Disillusioned
I was disappointed. First of all the package picture presented on Amazon was not what I expected when I got this tiny 3x4 brown pack with instructions to go on line to get instructions. A copy of instructions to be in the little pack would have been nice. And the money I paid for this???? Not happy. Please do something to help a novice like me make this sour dough bread a little easier. Oh, and does it have to be grams??? Can’t you change that ????

Disappointing
I was excited to receive this starter. I followed the instructions exactly. I even used a scale to measure the flour in grams. However, the starter did not rise at all. After two days, still nothing. This turned out to be a very expensive attempt to make my own sourdough. Fifteen dollars for this starter is a steep price to pay if there are no results. I can buy several loaves of freshly made sourdough bread at my local Krogers for that amount of money.

Great stuff - really active
I only used half the envelope and it has been working great. The instructions are kind of funky. I just mixed some up with a fraction of the amount of flour they say, just like making starter, and it worked fine. Kept half in case I screw something up.
