GastroMax Whisk, Grey

while other reviewers may admonish this for being plastic and cheap and flexible, i applaud these fact. it has a simple elegant design, is easy to clean with few places for food bits to hide. i use mine when combining wet&dry ingredients in batters, and for frothing milks, or mixing protein powder drinks and even matcha tea powder. you won't regret keeping one of these in your utensil drawer at a fraction of the cost on amazon for what they sell in europe. this is heat resistant plastic so you could use them for whipping air and added ingredients into boiling liquids such as soup or melted cheese, and the plastic makes it safe on my nonstick coated pressure cooker.

Love it I had a metal whisk like this that worked really good. I works great if you are using an electric fry pan to make gravy. You can get your ingredients all mixed together without the splashes a regular whisk makes. Very easy to clean.

I admit, I was skeptical about this plastic one which replaces a metal one, but it is sturdy and does a great job! I use it for sauces, gravies, drinks and most often, stirring my Sourdough Starter, which is really handy, as it breaks up any lumps much better than another type of whisk.

I read the item details which seem to imply you can use this in a pan, while it's on the stove. YOU CAN NOT!! The thing melted to the bottom of my pan! I am utterly disappointed with this product. It is not designed to do what the details seem to imply. Additionally, it's flimsy, its small, and (I assume if I had been able to use it for the gravy I was trying to make) it's going to be hard to clean. I don't normally write bad reviews, but on this product I must emphatically warn you NOT to purchase it. Save your money!

I haven't quite got the hang of it as far as getting the lumps out of sauce and gravy; but my husband loves it. We needed something we could use on non-stick pans and this turned out better than expected

love it but I don't know how much heat it can take before it melts. Worried about leaving it in the pot on the stove. it is good for using it in the microwave for making cheese sauce or melting chocolate chips.

Recommended by a friend as the best for white sauces and others where there's not a lot in a non-stick pan but you need it well mixed quickly. She was right.

BRILLIANT!!!This whisk is brilliant - I have been looking for ages for a whisk to replace my old faithful particularly for making gravies and sauces. The usual balloon type whisk is no good for gravies and sauces, they are the wrong shape to have enough contact with the bottom of the pan for scraping up all the bits and pieces from roasting a joint for instance, or for stirring flour into butter to make a roux for a sauce, but this does the job perfectly - it also gets into the corners of a pan really well. It is also brilliant for frothing up milk in a jug for coffee. I'm so pleased I just happened to find it in a local cookware shop - I bought one and then promptly bought several more from Amazon for presents for friends. They are all thrilled with it too. It is easy to use, light, easy to clean either by handwashing or dishwasher and is made of a heatproof plastic. All in all a really good whisk. I am now a follower of all the Gastromax products and the ones I have bought so far have all been brilliant.

I bought one of these many years ago (Ican't remember where) and have found it to be one of the most useful whisks I have ever had. As one of the reviewers has said, with its flat bottom, it stirs and whisks flat on the bottom of the pan as well as into the corners. The other great advantage is that, being plastic, it is quite safe to use in non-stick pans. I bought another one because I was fed up with my wife nagging me for putting it in the dishwasher (in which it is completely dishwasher safe) when she needed to use it again (guess who had to wash it up by hand).

This is the best hand whisk ever. Originally I bought this in Denmark on the advice of my sister who lives there and it lasted for years. On trips to Denmark I came back with ones for friends who also raved about it. When it eventually broke after many years of use out I could not find one in the usual shop in Denmark and could not find one in the UK until now. So pleased. The secret is in the positioning of the handle to the whisk. It bends into corners and does not scratch non stick pans. Perfect for sauces. Totally recommend. A must have in every kitchen.

I really like this whisk - it's got a lot of power packed in it's little body and it's comfortable to use. I did wonder if whatever I was beating would get stuck in it but - no - everything washes out. Recommend.

I always wanted a whick that is flat against the bottom of the pan, but that is hard to find in the UK. This one is brilliant! Since the handle is made of vinyl it doesn't get hot. I put it in the dishwasher and it comes out without the colour being matted or scratched. Absolutely brilliant. A bit expensive perhaps when the shipping is included.
