Q: why is the threads colored on the pinch pleated tape and how do you get the lines not to show on sheer drapes?

Don't know for sure, but I use it as a very helpful stitching guide to keep the stitch-down seams straight. However, it's real easy to pull out with the help of a seam ripper. This stuff is such an awesome effort saver, but I've never used it with super sheer fabric. If it shows thru, pulling the colored thread would be my answer.

Q: How much fabric uptake does this tape have? (How thick are the pleats once folded? )

When I cinch up tightly 12" of this tape (to look like its pic on Amazon) it measures 1.25" (without being sewn to fabric).

Q: Anyone use adhesive and it work? What brand thanks?

This pleat tape have to be sewn. It wont never hold with adhesive. I don't have in mind the brand, but it's very good quality. I did my draps and it works great.

Q: What type of hangers do you use with this tape?

I'm using clips on mine, but you could use the drapery hangers with the pointed hook. I assume depending on how much one gathers the material, and how it's sewn, one could use a curtain rod. I don't think a rod would work if the fabric was gathered tightly though.
