Whether you are wanting to display appreciation for your Arabic heritage, show solidarity or simply looking for a way to add a bit of style to your black and white outfits, this fashionable scarf is the perfect choice for you! This classic 47” x 47” black and white Arabic scarf is traditionally known as Keffiyeh, Kufiya, Hatta or Shemagh scarf. They are carefully made in Palestine by Palestinian people and imported directly in order to ensure the highest level of quality assurance and authenticity. You can dress them up or you can wear them with casual outfits such as jeans and a tee. The large size allows them to be worn as a neck scarf or used for a wide variety of other purposes such as a protective head covering, a handy towel or a comfy throw blanket. Unlike lesser quality scarves, ours are incredibly soft and extremely comfortable. They are made out of a breathable cotton material which keeps you cool on hot summer days and warm during the cold winter months. The black-and-white kufiya is often referred to as the unofficial Palestinian flag, and carries deep meaning for many who wear it. There are numerous stories about the origin of its pattern. It is said to represent a fishing net, a honeycomb, the joining of hands, or the marks of dirt and sweat wiped off a worker’s brow, among other things. Well, what are you waiting for? It's time to add one of these stylish Arabic scarves to your collection of fashion accessories. Kufiya Nation is authorized Hirbawi re-seller. We only sell scarves that are meant for export and are of the highest grade cotton material. We work directly with the factory with no middlemen involved

Great product, but was expecting correct weight for the price.
There are reviews out there, for many products, glowing, 5*...but written....in exchange for a free product...Mine, is NOT one of them.I pay with my hard earned money, and I'll share my opinion with you so you can make an informed decision for yourself. If you in a hurry, and want to read only PROS and CONS, please scroll down, otherwise, please keep on reading. Some reviews for a different products are written when item has unpacked, in brand new condition, so if course it is "omg, this is so pretty" etc.I check whatever I buy, and use it. Then, after I have formed my opinion, I write a review. Here is my opinion:There are many scarfs like that on Amazon (just search for Arabic scarf, shemags, etc). Many cost fraction of this one - some as low as $6.Beware though - you get what you pay for - in quality and material. This kufiya is made of cotton, no questions about it. You can check for yourself - burn test will show if it's cotton or man made material (no you don't need to burn entire scarf, just a small amount of thread). It is well made - pattern is uniform and consistent. It can laims to be thicker cotton than the rest, and this is where I disagree. Stated weight is 8.5 oz, but weight on my kitchen scale shows 5.99 oz.I'm sure my kitchen scale is not entirely scientific, but discrepancy of 2.5 oz. is quite a bit. Dimensions are as stated 47x47 inches (I didn't check the thickness).Overall, I'm pleased with the quality and design.I'm disappointed with the weight for the price I've paid.I'm attaching pictures so it might make it easier to compare.I will be contacting seller regarding their unconditional satisfaction guarantee. If I receive the scarf with stated weight, I will change my rating to 5* since the incorrect weight is the only thing I'm not happy about.Summary:PROS:- Big 47x47 inches.- pure cotton.- well madeCONS:-Weight is lower than stated.

Great Shemagh!
Beautiful dark blue color! It is a lot bigger than what I expected, my first time purchasing it, and I am completely satisfied with it. I use it for almost everything: blocking the sun on my head, head band, scarf, lunch, etc. Will recommend and purchase again!UPDATE: 9/10/16Ok, so normally I do not review products of anything, even if they're good. However, the shemagh and the seller must be praised! You will not be disappointed with the quality and shipping speed from them. This is my second time purchasing shemagh's from them. The first purchase was the blue and green. Both are beautiful colors with a mesmerizing unique pattern to it.Until recently I bought both a black and the black & white one. Again I am NOT disappointed with my purchase. If you are looking for a great shemagh for whatever reason you may want to use it for, look no further. They are great for scarves, headbands, camping, shade, backpacks, ANYTHING!From what I have, the black & white one is big. Bigger than the blue, green, and black shemagh. The black shemagh does have patterns to it, and it's actually a lot darker than what the pictures makes it look like. It also has a different feel to it compared to the other 3 (like silk almost), and would probably wear it on special occasions.

This is the best by far of all the Shemagh I own
Listen up Ladies. This is the best by far of all the Shemaghs I own. The quality screams at you right out of the package. Weather or not you support the struggle in Palestine or not, If you use it for tactical purposes or as a statement of support, or just want the best quality available, I believe that this scarf will last you for years. Unlike the cheap re-pops from China. I support quality workmanship and authenticity, no matter what part of the world I'm working in.G.Sgt. USMC

High quality - just what I was looking for
Disclosure: I have no association with the seller nor did I receive any price breaks to entice purchasing the product. Note that I am an Amazon Prime member (preferential shipping)1) This Shemagh was expensive (+$25) compared to others I have purchased (~$11).2) Excellent material: I would estimate the weave was roughly 20 threads/in compared to 10 threads/in of the cheaper one. I do not have enough experience with Shemagh's to know whether the heavier, sturdier material is desired for hot weather (for cold weather, without thinking I would select the Hirbawi product), but the Hirbawi is certainly more robust than the cheaper one. I consider the cheaper one more of a disposable product and the Hirbawi more robust for long term use.3) Nearly odor free, but just a hint. The cheaper one had a very strong odor that I attribute to the dye.4) I hand washed the cheaper one in cold water (no soap). Round 1, the water was pitch black. Round 2, the water was dark black. Round 3, the water was still black, maybe dark gray. I stopped rinsing. With the Hirbawi scarf, there was only a very faint *hint* of blue so I only rinsed once.5) The Hirbawi scarf is a legitimate 44"x44", and with very slight tugging, it is more like 46"x46" or larger (unlike the cheaper one which claimed to be 42"x42" but I would say it is more like 40"x40". The extra 4" is a significant difference when it comes to using it for protection from the sun (shawl to protect back of the neck and brim to keep sun out of eyes).6) Finally, I ordered on Wednesday and received it on Friday (I love Amazon Prime)While the Hirbawi carries a price premium (you can purchase 2 of the cheaper ones and walk away with some change), the quality level is unmistakably higher. In the end, I recommend both the product and the company (and Amazon Prime shipping).

Works great in 115F heat
Best one on the market. I bought this last month for a hiking trip out in the Mojave desert. It was 115F and this worked like a charm to keep me cool. A bit pricier than others yes, but you wont be disappointed. I have bought the cheaper ones as well, and was disappointed with them... both in size and material. You get what you pay for. So if you want the best, get this one.
