Bought these 10 years ago and they’re still going strong
They have held up admirably over the years. Alas, when I checked out the current way basics inventory, I discovered much to my disappointment that they no longer make them in all the pretty colors. It’s all dreadful grey and boring black and white. The least disappointing colors are a couple of the wood tones. They’re also MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE than they used to be, which makes the dreary color selection even worse. I will cherish the ones I have; but would never have bothered with or will bother with the current iteration. Bring back the lime green and orange and blue shelves and cubes!

So Far So Good and Stronger Than Some Reviews Suggest
So far so good. I ordered about 4 of these and 4 of the cube plus size to create 4 story stacked book shelf. So far they appear to be holding the weight of the heavy comic omnibus hardcovers that I have used them for and I have not noticed any bending of the shelves. They definitely do feel light weight and delicate when you put them together, but as I said they are holding up so far. My two complaints would be that the shelves were not designed with notches on the tops or bottoms to allow for a slightly more secure stack. I noticed that they have come out with a new line of shelves that now do have the notches on them for connecting them together. The other issue I did not account for was the very light, flimsy paper like quality of the exterior body of the shelves. I understood that they're made from compressed cardboard construct, but not how easy the exterior paper like veneer facsimile could be scratched. The corner of shelves happen to come into close contact with the back of my computer chair and the in the battle of chair vs shelf corners, the chair wins. To protect the corner of the shelves I decided to use black electrical tape to not only protect the shelves from further scratches, but also to blend in with the black color of the shelves. Oh well. Believe it or not, overall I am still pleased with the product and will most likely purchase more in the future. However, as other have stated you may want to be careful about adding to much weight to them and definitely consider finding way to more securely connect any stacked shelves together.

Needs a little help.
I bought this for an addition to my printer stand. I assembled as was.it has pre-installed tape to hold it together. and was very light. It was simple to put together. It was unstable; therefore, I decided to let it set overnight. It seemed stronger so I picked it up and it fell apart. OUCH! I put it back together with a friend and now it is light and strong as hell. My friend is Gorilla glue. the tape was worthless, but with Gorilla glue it is great - probably a 5.

Will stay together if you don't ever touch it.
This is really crappy furniture. If you attempt to pick it up, even empty, it will start to fall apart. It's singular quality is cheapness. I'm still able to use it as intended, as long as I done touch it or look at it with too much intention. It's literally "held" together with EXTREMELY WEAK double sided tape. Just don't. I'm only giving it that second star because I'm technically still able to use it as intended.

Not bad for the price
I bought this to use it for storing binders and folders on my desk. And it will work for that (including clipboards), but it just looked too big once zi put it in place. It just seemed to overwhelm the space. So it is now in my closet where it is functioning well as a way to store some oversized items. (I would have included a picture but it kept coming out too dark to see.) It is a very lightweight item and the box it came in was crumpled on one end, so I was concerned about damage. The four thick "boards" (it is a paper product but the "boards" are very sturdy and have a woodgrain look go them) were fine, but the backing board was a bit bent up on a corner. I was able to flatten it out enough to get it to fit in the groove, but that is the primary reason for the 3 stars. Not sure why it is called a shoe rack since you would have a lot of wasted space unless you kept your shoes in boxes. Not a bad item for the price. I ordered the cube with shelf for my desk as well. I am hoping it will work out better.

Neat idea, terrible execution
I understand the purpose of this box, though it did not meet the basic functionality. After ~ 1 week the box fell apart I'm assuming because it is only held together by 4 pegs and some 3M tape. I feel like there should have been some quality testing done to make sure this could stand up to being a basic shelf before being sold. The 4 wood pegs that help fit together just ripped through their holes and out the side causing the box to completely fail. I think the heaviest thing ever put on it was my ~10lb cat.Along with that, I've built a lot of things that have been delivered in many parts. This was 5 parts (2 long walls, 2 short walls and a back) ignoring the 4 pegs. And it took me longer to build this than it should have. The back plate was warped/bowed, with made it near impossible to fit into the slats of the long board without damaging the cardboard. Then, trying to get the last piece on, getting it to fit into the groove, and stay while you line up the pegs was frustrating.Over all, I would not recommend you purchase this shelf.Update: I first wanted to say that I build the box, and put weight on each edge and let it sit for 24 hours before puting any torque/pressure on the middle of the box. Depending on the 3M tape, it needs time to set, so I really just built it and didn't use it for a day. Sadly, the box still died when the wood pegs ripped through the holes. To fix it, since I threw nearly $30 at this thing, was to 3D print ([...]) a couple small 90 degree brackets in Black PLA and GEL super glued 8 to re-form the box. It's now 100% more sturdy and working again. Leaving it at 1 star though as I shouldn't have to reinforce a "shelf" to make it usable/functional.

Waste of money
I usually don’t write reviews. However I couldn’t resist for these cubicles. Do not waste your money. They are expensive, they are wobbly, they fall apart after assembled. In my opinion they are not worth even worth a dollar.
