The fix is in and it worked.
I discovered that my second generation prius developed a leak in the rear hatch area. Rain leaks in just above the rear hatch door where two body panels meet. Since my Prius and the area where the water gets in could be seen when the hatch is open, the clear sealer worked very well. The water leak is fixed and the repair is not noticeable. And yes, it leaked on both sides and almost filled the spare tire compartment.

Worked better than expected
Worked better than expected. It goes on a little thick, then thins out and seeps into the cracks and dries with some springiness to it.
