Great brake pads!
Great brake pads! These will help you stop when you are trying to get to work but there are Democrats protesting in the freeway and you have to stop.

Important Info for F150 Owners
Note! The inner and outer pads for the 09-14 (and possibly other) F150s are different. It is subtle to the eye, but not subtle to the truck. The inner pads have “ears” on them while the outers do not. The outer pads also have 2 raised bumps in the middle of the pad.I replaced my pads about 8k miles ago and unfortunately did not research beforehand as I usually do. Big mistake. I put the passenger side pads on incorrectly. Pad and rotor demolished in 8,000 miles. I imagine this is the reason for the poor reviews as well. It’s not the pads, unfortunately it is the installation. Drivers side was installed correctly and those are holding up perfectly.Again, in 8,000 miles it chewed through an entire pad and ate up my rotor. Completely my fault, but be aware.

Not off to a good start....
Not sure about this.... all ready showing signs of chipping. Requested replacements, we will see. No, it’s not the rotor. It too is a Bosch, replaced the same time as the pads. Seriously, one week and showing signs of failure? I’m counting on the fact this is a “one off” as usually Bosch is top of the line, and I don’t mess around with my brakes. Will update as this progresses, and summarily, will alter review accordingly.See pics.Update... 11/03- opposite side just as bad. Received replacements from Amazon(thanks). Not sure I would purchase again. Not crazy about doing a job twice because of poor quality....Additional pics posted.

They are really super quiet, but with a huge design flaw, causing the clinging noise!!
Before purchasing, I had seen all the bad reviews talking about the noise. However, I had already installed the same brand model on my rear brakes, and was quite satisfied with the results. So, I ignored the bad reviews and bought this pair for my front brakes. After installation, when I test drove, there was a huge huge metal to metal clinging/squeaking noise. This noise was just while driving the car, no only while applying the brakes. Initially I thought may be I missed something. May be I didn't press the caliper piston far enough, causing the brake pads brush against the rotors continuously. Or I might have tighten the screws beyond the recommended torque. So I redid everything, by renting professional tools this time. Still the same. After careful investigation, I figured out that the pad clips were the culprit. There is a small metal portion sticking out towards the brake rotors (See in the attached picture), which touched the rotors and made that metallic clinging sound all the time. I removed everything again and with my long nose pliers, pushed that metal tongue like portion away and installed back everything and voila ... super duper quiet ride and braking.Verdict: They are good quality and really super quiet, but it took me 3 days and a ton lot of frustration to figure out the problem and to fix it. I would say its a huge flaw in their design. I would not recommend it.

I WILL NEVER BUY BOSCH AGAIN
Easy to install. Seem like OEM spec. Installed on my 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee without HD brakes. They came with replacement metal clips and grease. The metal clips were exactly like factory ones and the grease was enough to fully cover all areas that could make a noise. Drove for a month or two so far and usually drive 1 hr each way to and from work mostly highway. No noticeable issues and low dust. Grip is pretty solid and has a good feel when braking.Edit: just had an issue with retaining spring that pops out and now inner pad knocks within the caliper. This was confirmed by a brake specialist shop. Just over 1k miles on pads....I called Bosch and they don’t offer any warranty on their product. Said I should have bought it from an autozone or another dealer that warranties someone else’s product. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I WILL NEVER BUY BOSCH PRODUCTS AGAIN.

Awesome pads that are great for DIY brake job and it doesn't BREAK your wallet!!!
I have been paying a local retail over-priced shop to do my brakes on my vehicles for 15-20 years and their prices have gone up and the quality of the brake jobs go down. I have to go back and have them fix isues with the pads rubbing or mis-aligned yielding in noise and annoying squeals. Well, after getting a ridiculous quote for my last brake job where they tried to sell me NEW rotors when my prior set was only used for one brake job, i decided to try out changing my own brakes. I completed the rear axle of both wheels in less than 50 mins and test drove it. Everything went fine. I coupled the Bosch Quietcast rotar with their Boasch Quiest Cast Premium ceramic brake pads (also on amazon). Amazingly quite after two seperate test drives with a 15 min break-in between. I am please, this is easy to do if you change your own oil and know how to work wrenches and lube things.

Looks Used
It was advertised as brand new. I ordered it together with another Bosch brake for my other car (Bosch BP1295 QuietCast). Check out the difference in packaging in the attached pictures. Obviously, this BC914 pads look used, jaded, dusty and have too many scratches all over them. They look like someone bought them earlier and returned them after a little use. The paint work on the body of the brake pads are also pealing. The shin are scattered in the box unlike the other purchase with the shin still intact in a sealed package. Also, the lubricant is missing. All these irregularities in spite of the fact that the package came with a "Amazon Warehouse" seal. I'm disappointed. I won't recommend this to anyone.

great value for a very high quality pad !
These brake pads are very well made and very high quality! The pads for my application were friction rated "GG" which is very good. Everything that you could possibly need for pad replacement is included in the box: the new stainless slides/clips and silicone lube. I have installed over 100 sets of brakes pads and Bosch is now my "go to" pad for most applications. if you live in a salt/rust area, make sure that you remove the stainless clips and wire brush that area under the clips before installing the new ones that are provided. ensure that your pads slide easily and that you don't have to force them in place.

Not for vehicle stated!
Stated for a Ford Ranger. Totally don’t fit! Had one side dismantled only to find they were too small by over an inch. Had to put old ones back in and get new set from Ford. How do I get a refund now? I bought them in January and only got time and weather to replace them now. So much for thinking ahead.

Pads plus clips form too tight a fit.
If you use the provided clips, with one spring clip ( see first picture) and one flat clip per bracket, you will not be able to get the brake pad in the channel. Even two flat clips you can just barely get the pads to fit (see second picture)It looks like someone thought the spring clips would be a good addition. The original parts on my Honda Fit had clips, but no spring clips. I think Bosch probably decided to introduce the spring clip, but without making an adjustment to the size of the tabs on the pads. The spring clip is a good idea. I saw other reviewers post that they just ground down the tabs on the pads until they fit. I think the sizes should be engineered properly by the supplier. I think someone had the idea to introduce the spring clip and didn't even try it on a real car before they started selling it.
