Solinco Hyper-G Heaven High Spin poly string - 40 foot Pack

I'm an ordinary 4.0 player, always been using mostly Gamma synthetic gut, basic stuff, and I use 17ga with low string tension for the softer feel and grab on the ball. Never tried Solinco strings before, and just received sets of the Heaven Outlast and Heaven Hyper-G. I like them both...a lot! They cost a little more, but they just seem to play so much better--nice soft feel to the strike, good control. I'm the same old 4.0 player, exact same racquets, same stringer and string tension, but the balls seem to have more topspin and bite. Now, if I can start winning matches, then I will have to owe it to the strings. We shall see.

Really like this string, with one minor ding that I'll get to. For reference, I have this in a Wilson Pro Staff 97CV, strung at 48lb mains/46lb crosses. As a former tennis elbow sufferer, was hesitant to go full-bed poly again, but this string and tension is marvelous. Very soft, and excellent spin. I can swing out and get a nasty drop-in near the baseline. My one-handed backhand especially benefits from this. Serves also benefit from the spin. Slice and kick are really spinny, although flat serves take a little more effort due to the low power.Flattening shots is a little more difficult, as well as defensive shots on the run. I like to flick the racket almost like a squash shot, and have trouble getting any pace/depth on these defensive shots with this string. I'm trying Tier One Firewire Boost in my other Pro Staff (see my review on it for a similar comparison), which in a nutshell has more overall power (for me) but a little less spin and control.Hyper-G pros: spin, control, comfort, serve spinFirewire Boost pros: easier power, flatter groundstroke, flat serves, crisper but still comfortable at 52/48Both are very good string combos, so it's they're basically in a playoff to earn the rights to stay in the Pro Staffs. (Review from the husband)First, about my play-style. I'm a taller, harder hitting player and I spend a majority of the match on the baseline. I've never had a problem generating power, but was looking for a little more spin and control on my shots. I've played with gut strings a few times in the past and liked it, but durability was a problem and I'm too busy to keep getting my racket strung, so I typically play poly.After some research, I decided to buy these strings and I've been very happy with the results. The strings are pretty soft, and you'll instantly notice how much more top-spin you're able to generate. I've really enjoyed the extra spin I get on my shots now, and these poly strings are the closest you'll get to the feeling of gut strings.The one drawback I've noticed is that I have lost a little power on my shots. I've now been swinging a little harder to recoup some of my lost speed, but you'll have confidence swinging harder because of the extra top spin.Would definitely recommend these strings to fellow tennis players, and I hope this review helps.

I really like these string. I am already on my third set of the same brand and type, only I tried different gauges. I liked them all, they feel very comfortable and are rather durable. I am not a pro player, and I rarely change strings unless they break, but that being said I enjoyed playing with these until the very last moment when they did break. I think they help a bit with the spin, especially the larger gauges (thinner strings), and they deliver quite a bit of power as well - even my girlfriend who is not incredibly strong nor incredibly trained in tennis can hit some pretty fast shots with a lot of spin on them as well.

I Strung this string on a Babolat pure drive racquet at 60 lbs. Great spin, no shock to the elbow, and plenty of power while retaining control of the ball. I compared this string to another racquet (head Ti S2 strung with Luxilon 17 g poly black (Mains) and Synthetic gut 17 gauge Gamma string (Crosses) in a two-string hybrid pattern strung at 56 lbs and could not notice much difference in the playing feel. Highly recommendedr 3.5 players or above.

I recently tried maybe fifteen types of poly string and string hybrid setups. This is my favorite and I like 48 pounds for mains and crosses.To me it is slightly softer than most polys but gives just as much spin. Power and control are good too. Reminds me somewhat of a poly/gut hybrid without needing two kinds of string. I use Wilson Blade 98s.

I have seen many players using these Solinco strings so I tried replacing my Luxilon Big Bangers which I had found to work well for me. My first impression was that the Solincos are more lively and I did play better with them. After a few sessions I feel that they are pretty similar to the Big Bangers but I am not a power player so keep that in mind when you read this.

Hyper - G is good string, it is still durable even though you take 17g/1.2mm, unlike other 17g semi-natural gut 17g/1.2mm which you may have more elasticity but easy to break, I have to put on new string every two weeks. Hyper-G has similar elasticity but more durable. the seller is helpful and friendly. I higher recommend to try the string.

Love this string nice feel great control and spin capabilities. Looks wow!
