It’s my safe place
This is the second time I’ve bought this tent. First time I had it for 4+ years and it was amazing. Had to replace it because it got lost when I moved across the state. I am have diagnosed Autism, ADHD, and PTSD, so this tent means the world to me. When my anxiety was bad I always hid away in my little nest. I got the pitch black one with the mesh windows. It blocks out light very well, and it makes me feel safe when nothing else does. The first one I had was still in great condition after 4 years of use. It’s very easy to set up, don’t need any tools. A good open space and extra set of hands is all you need really. I bought the twin sized one and it fits like a glove. You put the mattress inside the tent. A few notes on assembly process. 1) it comes in a medium sized pouch, support poles included. 2) it does open very forcefully when you unzip the pouch, although it does have a warning label saying that, but still be careful when your opening it for the first time because getting smacked in the nose by this thing would hurt3) it has three small zippers about an inch long in the top of the tent. This is for the support poles. Just insert and thread them all the way through. Only note here is that it’s a bit hard to get the pole all the way in to close the zipper but if you’ve got an extra set of hands it’s not too bad. Took me maybe 2-3 minutes to get all three poles completely threaded. 4) it’s a mild pain to get the mattress itself into the tent, but that’s because I was doing it myself. Once you get it lined up and adjusted just slide it in. It’s a little hard to hold the tent down and push the mattress in but with an extra set of hands it’s easier. Completely possible to do solo assembly, just much easier with help. However, the important note is the base. I highly recommend that if you don’t have a solid bed frame and you have one that’s kinda wired or has gaps, I suggest getting a box spring. The tent will not stand up correctly if it doesn’t have a solid foundation. So some features I’d like to high light.- it has two windows on the top and bottom with a mesh lining if you want to let air or light in.- it has two panels to get in and out both on opposite sides of the other. - one of my favorite qualities is the zipper. It’s very good, my first tent was going strong after 4 years of use and the zippers almost never snagged or jammed, and even when they snagged a little I would just zip it back up slightly then go down again and it’d fix up easy. PLUS, the zippers are double sides. Both windows and panels have double sided zippers so if you want to open a panel or a window you don’t have to exit the tent, you can open and close any zipper from the inside!!!While it is expensive I’d say ease of construction and quality are 10000% worth it!!! I love it with all my heart and I’ll always have this tent!!!

Love!
I have two daughters who for right now share a room, we have been changing up their room lately and I got two of these so that way my kids can have more privacy in a way and so my youngest would leave her big sister alone lol, the main reason I got these though is because I live in TX and every summer around may we get these swarming termites (non wood eating ones just annoying they live for a few hours that’s it) they love light and they will get into your home. So these tents will be put to the test for sure coming next summer and I will update. Very easy to put together, just throw the mattress in there and I tied them up to the bed so they can’t move. So far working great and the kids love them. Also love that u can put a night light inside! My oldest is also autistic and this makes her feel safe. Air flow is good in my opinion and they fit great

Great purchase and easy install!
I bought this because my kid keeps sneaking into the masters room every night. I was the same exact way during his age. So I know already it’s not the dark he’s scared of. He’s scared of reflections from mirrors, windows, shadows, open doors etc. Psychologically, think of cavemen days. People felt safer sleeping in caves because it’s protected from the elements and predators can only come in from one way and you can always block it off. this tent provides the same concept, that’s why it’s popular with the kids.He also keeps asking me to build a fort in the living room with him using blankets. I’ve hated this because he once did this and left soda and snacks in the fort and ants got in and it was a pain washing multiple thick blankets. Thankfully, I found this in Amazon!First, my tiny mom self and tiny child were able to set this up ourselves. There was a bunk full-bed mattress that had to be taken out, then this thing pops up like a camping tent, rods inserted in, mattress needed to be lifted up the bunk again and inserted into the tent. If us tiny humans can do it anyone physically healthy can. Both ends of the tent have entrance zippers. They also have window zippers. This is perfect because when I’m in there I feel like I can’t breathe so I “crack a window” open. It does get hot in there (and he’s using it now during the coldest month of the year) so i can’t imagine what it would be like in the summer time. The good news is my kid likes to take his shirt off at night, so I do feel better that it’s hot in there so he doesn’t get a cold. In the summer, I plan on blowing a fan in there for him. So even with some windows unzipped for air, it’s still dark in there at night which is good for my kid because he discovered he likes it pitch black. My other favorite pro: it’s perfect for movies. No other room in the house is dark enough for my projector. So we have one end of the tent against a wall. When it’s movie time, we unzip that side and use the beige wall as a screen. My other favorite pro: I have a naughty cat that twice peed on that bunk bed. We have no idea why because he doesn’t do it anywhere else. Our theory is that my son had peed a little on his blanket, we didn’t notice, but the cat did and thought he could too. We have to close that room all day but sometimes my son forgets. With this tent, the mattress is protected from the cat.One tiny con: the entrance zipper is a bit hard to close or open from inside the tent. I worry that one day it’ll just break. It hasn’t yet so we’ll see.Overall, a great investment for the kiddo, and also mine and husbands sleeping sanity.

Queen received instead of twin
I received a queen instead of a twin size so it is saggy on my bed but the zippers and mesh are good quality. The fabric blocks most light but is a little see through where light sources are. It is hard to fold up, will require 2 people to put away. I use this in my dorm to create a private space in my shared room. It is a great college gift and all tears in the material that have occurred have been my fault. Perfect for a sensory hideaway, fort, or cave for any age. I do wish there were hooks or something to attach fairy lights to the ceiling of the tent better. There is a hook to hang a small and light lamp or something though. I would also love to see an opening somewhere to run cords through for charging devices without opening the flaps. Make sure to brush out or vacuum the sides of the mattress sometimes because all of the debris from the bed will fall down the sides and collect there since it can't fall all the way to the floor.
