Nice, secure helmet
When I first put the helmet on my son's head, it kept falling off. I was concerned that it offered little protection. Upon further inspection, I figured out how to adjust the chin strap to ensure the helmet stays put. It's actually quite simple to adjust this helmet, once you take a closer look. My son doesn't mind wearing it (which, for a 2-year-old, is a big deal). I recommend this helmet for toddlers who are excited to explore the world (by scooter, balance bike, or as a passenger on a bicycle). The seller is also very helpful and I would definitely order from this shop in the future.

Excellent safety features
This is an excellent helmet. But I really like about it is it’s got so many safety features and that’s really the most important thing when it comes to a helmet. It’s made well and it’s very durable and I feel so much safer when my grandson where is it since he’s a bit of a daredevil. It’s a great break color red she could always pick out your child This is an excellent helmet. BE AWARE
I bought it for my four-year-old daughter. "S" (3-5 years old) She is 4 years and one month. This is just her size. She is nor big girl neither small. If your kid is bigger than his/her peers, then you should consider a bigger size. Good quality, nice looking and worth your money.

Good product!
Update: the company saw my original review and sent me out a replacement helmet. This new helmet is the newer version. They got rid of that not great chin strap and added extra padding inside the helmet. They also changed the shape. This helmet fits my sons head much better. He took a tumble and the helmet stayed in place, which is just what you want to to do. I am impressed with the customer support and the new model improvement. This bottom portion is my initial review and is the old model. The helmet's straps don't really hold well. Any force and they come loose, for us this isn't a big deal because our son is just learning on a balance bike and he goes so slow. Beyond slow, his speed is more of "I feel like I am being punk'd" slow. So for us, this isn't a deal breaker. So if you got a kid that is a speed demon, maybe do a bit more digging on the product before you buy.

Impractical fit
I had read many reviews that complained that this helmet didn't cover and protect the child's forehead even though they had measured for their child's size. I assumed that I was smarter than average and hoped it would be fine. My child's previous helmet was a Schwinn helmet from Walmart and it fit well but the adjustable band that fit around the helmet was held in by velcro and my child had removed it so many times that the velcro stickers on the inside of the helmet eventually all came off. I was irritated by this feature and wanted something with the headband attached, which is the case with this helmet. However, the adjustible headband is meant to adjust around the forehead and occiput (the raised bump or highest point on the back of the skull). Because it is made to fit around the largest diameter of the skull it naturally slides in all directions (especially if small hands adjust it in the slightest). So while I can get a good tight fit, initially, it slides out of position easily. Whereas, the Schwinn helmet the band adjusted around the forehead and the area below the occiput (where the neck muscles attach on the back of the skull). So although the band on this helmet doesn't come off of the helmet (which is a plus for me), it does slide off my child's head which is unfortunate. Haven't decided if I'm going to keep it or not. It's still a symbol of protection and my child rides a balance bike on a 10' x 16' concrete pad, I feel like symbolism is all I'm going for.I like all the padding inside the helmet the back band just needed to be formed so it comes down below the back of the helmet. This also makes it so the adjustable knob is inside the helmet so I have difficulty tightening the band while it's on my child's head. With the Schwinn helmet, the adjustable knob and the band protruded below the helmet.

My kids must have small heads
I will say I probably should have measured my kids' heads but my children are 5.5 and 6.5 years old and these helmets were made for ages 3-5 and still way too big! My boys are small for their age so I was expecting to tighten the straps a bit but I ended up tightening the straps all of the way and it still was jiggly and loose. Personally, I was disappointed that these were so expensive at $30 bucks each since they felt light and cheaply made. We found clearance helmets at Walmart for $8.00 which seemed more durable while still providing adequate ventilation. I really wanted to like these as the soft chin patch thing was a plus for my kids who are always pinching themselves when they buckle their helmets on. However, when I adjusted the strap for a smaller head, I had to remove this piece anyway. :( Ended up returning them.

Fits my little guy perfect, he’s 17mos. Had to tighten the straps all the way but the back tensioner keeps it snug on his head.

Dangerous - straps come loose while being worn
Straps come dangerously loose while this helmet is being worn, so it does not maintain a proper fit. I adjust and tighten the straps each time it’s worn and this still happens. The other day it slipped off my son’s head and around his neck, without being unbuckled. It doesn’t matter how much protection they build into the helmet if the straps come loose during normal wear - it is useless.
