I brought Brothread as I needed to cut back on costs whilst developing machine embroidery designs. It sewed really well on my Janome MC500E.The spools are basic but effective. I have cut a small slot, with a craft knife, in the base to hold the thread when not in use.I have not had a single breakage which is impressive considering I used it on the first run through when stictch density can be a problem. The cost was about £1 for 550m compared to £2 per 100m of my previous thread.The colours are bright, could be a bit too shiny for some tasks but you can't expect everything to be perfect. I haven't tried washing it yet but the box says it is good upto 60 degrees C.All I need now is a full colour chart and someone selling individual spools.Give it a go. If it doesn't suit your machine you won't have lost much cash but iif it does you will save a fortune.
