I got this because it was inexpensive and was on a list of "these items will change your life" article. It does NOT work as pictured (by starting with your hair down). Instead, put your hair into a ponytail, THEN roll and clip. It looks amazing and holds all day this way.I tried a million different ways without a ponytail holder and ended up with inconsistent results that usually left half my hair failing down. Then I remembered this was meant to be used INSTEAD of a bun sock. So put your hair into a ponytail where you would like your bun. Pull the ponytail through the clip (slide it down around 2/3 of the way to the end of your pony), then roll toward the front of your head until tight (pull any loose hair stands over the clip as you roll), then bend ends of clip down, and slide hooks together at the base of what should now be a perfect bun. You can clip it at the top, but the result wasn't as round and pretty when I did this. I hope this helps you enjoy your new hair accessory!

This is the perfect hair accessory for the office. The bun looks professional, and your hair has beautiful curls by the end of the day. If you know how to use it, I would highly recomend it.A note to the seller: cut back on the packaging, there is no need, this doesn't break easily, and all the extra plastic is unnecessary.

This may Work if you have thick hair but it isn’t so great for those of us with fine, thin hair.

There was a learning curve to use this item, but once I got the hang of it I got lots of compliments and it serves it's purpose great!

I'm impressed.This is a long review btw.Hoping I help ppl as I think ppl need to know a few things.First long hair may help?!?Mine is 4 inches past my shoulders.I can see mad wisps and hanging hairs if hair is just above ur shoulders.May work with at the shoulder?!? Idk2nd...instructions (well what I did)1) put ur hair in a ponytail where u want the bun2) put hair into centre of "bun clip" and pull down...saving about 2 inches on the end3) WRAP 2 inch ends UP around the "bun clip" (the little teeth on the clip kinda help aid ur hair staying wrapped around the clip no matter if teeth are top or bottom up)4) Now keep rolling a tight wrap around "bun clip" and grabbing hanging pieces and wrapping them in as you go until it's as tight as possible and against your scalp.5) Hook the 2 hooks together (if bun flops after the hooks are together u twisted the "bun clip" the wrong way unwrap and retwist)6) NOW gently roll ur hair around the "bun clip" and cover the hooks. Making a nice big circle bun of hair.The weight of hate wrapped seems to keep the hooks together! Amazing.Now you can use a few bobby pins to hide the bun clip hooks at the base of ur neck.(Yes they should be at ur neck NOT top near ur scalp)In pic mid bum u can see that's a bit of black plastic from bun clip but idcHairspray? More Bobby pins??I find this thing fast and easy.Works great, got it in my hair rn.Did it a few more times to tighten up that hang and takes 2 minutes.This thing is genius.I didn't use bobby pins in that picI rolled my hair around "bun clip" hooks...to hide them.I had a side pic but it's not loading :(I hope this helps. Was so disappointed with this product. It is made out of a hard hard plastic so even if you connect the two ends it does not make a nice bun shape, more of a teardrop. But regardless, the ends don't stay connected for more than 30 seconds. Don't waste your time.

my hair is way too thick for this. I can't get my hair into the hole, I tried it wet and dry, my hair is all one length and there are zero instructions to help. Impossible to use. Do Not buy it'll leave you frustrated and wondering how you can't make a piece of plastic work

Don’t waste your money. This is the stupidest, most pointless, waste of money.The plastic is way to hard so it doesn’t bend well so you end up with a stupid looking bun, well... I should say you would end up with that if it wouldn’t actually bend enough to clip it together... but it doesn’t.

My original one finally broke after many years. Once you know how to use one they are terrific. I find with my hair it works best if I use it when it is wet otherwise my hair is too thick.
