I’ve been reading more & more that hamster balls are stressful for them, & actually not good for their enrichment, nor their welfare. I wanted to try an activity for Gizmo that allowed him play time outside of his cage, but in a space he could still rely on his sense of smell & touch. Hamsters have poor vision and maybe feel more comfy in spaces where they can be curious using their primary senses while running around.This playpen has been perfect! He does try to climb out of it but has not been able to get up the mesh sides. He has knocked water over, his sand tubby has had sand kicked out everywhere but it’s super easy to clean and the bottom is waterproof.I keep a close eye on him in there as I read other reviews about hamsters climbing out. My hamster is more interested in digging at the corners and running around.It was super easy to set up, not quite as easy though to get back into the little folded triangle it arrived as. I managed to get it mostly folded into a big square and tucked away while not in use.So far so great!

Play area:I use this for my bunny to be able to run around.

Got this for my kids hamster who wasn’t the biggest fan. My bearded dragon baby likes it. We set up a mini living room and kitchen in this with doll house stuff and let the beardie run around and sit on her sofa. Beardie loves this thing and it’s fun to get it all set up for her to run around inGot a baby frenchie who loves to run in and out of it with her toys. Which is hilarious got her a pink one(aka the 2nd one) this is easy to fold up and put away. And even if you don’t know how to fold it up to get into bag it still folds flat to store.This would be great for pets, small children etc very cool.

This playpen is a decent size for a small animal, and you don't need to do anything except unfold it to set it up. The design is simple and cute. I like how you can see your animal through the mesh sides. Also, the bottom is waterproof and easy to clean. My guinea pig peed and flipped over his water bowl in here, and no liquid seeped through.I don't have any major complaints. It's kind of difficult to fold back into the tiny circle shape it arrives in, but I don't think that's a big deal. The one thing I would say is that you should always watch your pet if they're playing in here. Stretching on his hind legs, my guinea pig is large enough to push down the sides of the playpen and jump out!

The floor is thin but we put down pee pee pads used by dogs. I bought those pads a Tractor supply or Chewy.com. But this pack and play is easy to move and clean. I love it. My daughter can pick up the guineas and clean it without any problems. It is a must to have a place to put them while their main home is being cleaned each day.

The play pen is fine quality wise for the price but it’s fairly small. I have a dwarf rabbit and it’s about three lengths of him in diameter so if you have a bigger bunny this probably isn’t ideal. I usually let mine free range when I’m home but I got this for when I can’t keep an eye on him. Turns out he figured out how to get out of in in about ten minutes by leaning on the side until the side bowed enough for him to hop out.

It’s small but good for what I want it for, just a place for my ham to hang out (I put one of her hides and some mazes and bedding in with her) while I spot clean her soiled bedding in her cage! A great affordable play pen!

I thought this would be a cute play area for my new pup, but nope! She knew at just 2 months old how to escape! ugh didn't last long at all
