Works Good , but...
My problem with this product isn't with Amazon, but rather the manufacturer of the refrigerator. Whatever happened to a good old light bulb? Why in the world develop an LED light that is on a printed circuit board that looks like something that belongs in a control module for a NASA moon project and charge a price that reflects the same mentality! And then on to of that, most consumers will not want to attempt the replacement process for this item and will then have to pay a repair person, on top of the exorbitant price for the product. Shame on the manufacturers!

Works great and cheaper than the Kenmore part
I paid ~$1000 for my Kenmore 106.51132 210 side-by-side refrigerator/freezer in July 2016. The freezer light (what this part replaces) went out shortly after the 13-month warranty expired, so I didn't bother to get it fixed. Then a few weeks ago both fridge lights quit out a the same time. Sears/Kenmore wanted $99 for someone to come over just to take a look at it, and then labor and parts to repair would be on top of that. A quick search for part costs showed the main fridge light WPW10515058 (replacing W10515058) would be $185.90 MSRP and the freezer light WPW10515057 (replacing W10515057) would be $100.00. DIY sites also indicated two things: (1) The secondary fridge light (also WPW10515057) would likely resume functioning after replacing the main fridge light, and (2) The brightness of the main fridge light may depend on the freezer light working properly. Both of these turned out to be true.I verified it was easy to remove both lights, and then ordered the Icetech W10515058 and Icetech W10515058 replacement (this part). Per their direction, I flipped off the fridge breaker (easier than unplugging it), extracted the old one using a flathead screwdriver, disconnected the wires, reconnected them to the new part, and installed it. Turning back on the breaker, the secondary fridge light worked perfectly, and the main fridge light worked at about 80% brightness, which is probably all I was getting out of the original part. Then I repeated the process with the Icetech W10515057 replacement (this part), which also worked properly, and the fridge light replacement now works at 100% brightness.I figure going with this solution saved me about $300 in parts and labor for both lights, plus the satisfaction of doing it myself.Only reason I'm giving it 4 stars for value is that it's truly insane that a glorified refrigerator lightbulb is 10-20% the cost of the entire unit.

If you buy this on get ready to buy more!!!!
If you are buying this product to replace your refrigerator light you will need to then replace all the light in your refrigerator because if not, this one , the one that you just replace will BURN OUT!!!! Very frustrating but if you read when you buy this light you need to replace all 3 lights in the refrigerator when this one goes

don't buy it!
This problem with the Whirlpool refrigerator is widely written about. I read a ton before I ordered this. Most said that the freezer light was the key to the fix. I followed all of the directions. Pulled out the refrigerator and disconnected the power. I replaced the freezer light with this "bulb" . Perfect! All the lights worked! FOR 5 MINUTES!Not doing this again...not buying Whirlpool again!

Nice replacement light; works like new with no issues
I just installed two of these; one in the freezer, and the other in the fridge. I also installed an overhead (2 prong) Icetech Co W10515058 light, since some reviews and You Tube videos strongly suggest that you do that. So I spent a bit over $200 for 3 new light assemblies for my Kenmore side by side, which is about 6 years old. I suggest checking out a You Tube video on how to install these; getting the old units out is the hardest part. plugging in the new unit and snapping into place was a breeze. I used a very thin flexible putty knife to remove the old units, which were either flashing, or not lighting at all. Make sure you unplug the fridge before you replace with new units; some stories out there say you can fry the unit if installing with the electricity on. the total time to replace the 3 units was under 20 minutes, and that included removing some fridge shelves. I don't like having to spend over $200 for lights, when it used to be just an appliance bulb replacement for about $3 years ago. But I figured I should get another 6 years of use from the refrigerator, so I am happy, and my wife is as well. Overall, the quality seems on par with the original lights

So far so good
So my freezer light was completely out and both fridge lights were dim. I ignored the advice of buying all 3 and just got this one to replace the freezer light. Installation was simple: unplug the refrigerator, pop out the old light, remove the connector, and put in the new light. Boom all my lights are back to full brightness! No more midnight snack roulette. I just installed it today so I’ll be sure to update when it fails. I took off a star because it costs way too much… significantly less than oem, but still too much.

Expensive, but resolved dim fridge and flickering freezer LEDs
My Whirlpool (model: WRS335FDDM01) fridge-side main LED (mounted at the top of the fridge) and all the other fridge LEDs were dim, and the freezer-side LED would blink very briefly and then stay off until switched off/on again. Replacing this module (fits at the top of the freezer side) resolved the issue.Unsure why these are failing (after 4 years in this case). There was no visible damage/burning to any of the contacts or components of the failed module. It seems possible the damage was due to a surge rather than a short, or a manufacturing defect on the board itself, but who knows.LEDs should last a decade or more to justify their cost and materials, and should last a very long time with the limited use fridge lights experience. Regardless, some component on this module failed in just 4 years of sporadic use, long before the LEDs themselves should have shown any wear. The other LEDs in the unit are OEM original, and are still bright as expected. An incandescent bulb could have matched this longevity at a few % of the cost and waste.
