Works like a charm.
Bought this to help serve a watermelon punch I was making for an upcoming party. Everyone thought it was awesome and worked very well. There was some minor clogging but that was easily fixed and as long as you strain the liquid beforehand it works like a charm. The feet worked very well. I would not recommend flattening out the bottom of the melon before inserting the feet. It makes for easier prep when juicing the melon but will cause some minor leakage with the feet in. The product worked as intended and the only issues I had were issues caused by my experimentation. This thing was a huge hit with my guests and worth the money.

Would recommend for the price! Fun party tool!
We used this tap for a pumpkin and it worked fine after some tweaking. At first it dripped, but after some adjusting it worked fine for a few hours. We kept a cup under the trap for precaution. Was a cool addition to our buffet and people enjoyed using it. We loaded our pumpkin with rum and apple cider. Yum!

Easy, inexpensive, fun
The media could not be loaded. Purchased this item for a block party in order to have something a little different. There are no surprises on this purchase. The only surprise was how well received it was.The Product:- The legs are a little on the small size and I was concerned because I assumed you needed a large watermelon. My fears were unfounded as the little legs held the watermelon in place no problem.- The tap itself is is straight forward, but thought out. It's thick enough that little left over pieces of melon won't clog it.- Opening the tap to pour is a rubber bulbous that you push down and the rubber extends to the end of the tap. When you push down, it breaks the seal and your juice will flow until you let go.Putting it together:(a lot simpler than expected)- Cut the top off your melon and spoon out the guts of your watermelon. (You can keep the melon to help make your drink if that is your goal)- Add the 3 stabilizing legs by sticking them into the bottom and twisting them until they are secure- About 4" up from the bottom of your secured melon, begin to push and twist the tap until it punches through. The tap itself has an attachment with teeth that easily twist and cuts through the melon.- Push tap all the way in until it is secure and remove the attachment with teeth from the inside. That is it, you are done and ready to fill. You can now do as you wish with your new watermelon keg. I personally used the watermelon scooped out, pressed the juice out and added a mixture of daddy and mommy juice from a recipe found online specifically for this type of product.Side notes:- A watermelon can hold a lot of juice, but the crushed watermelon itself does not produce a lot of juice. I had to refill 3 times throughout the day and was thankful to have bought a watermelon flavored beverage in order to keep the watermelon themed keg going.- Kids are drawn to this so if you decide to go with adding adult cocktail, keep an eye out.

Decent, but leaky.
The taps I bought looked nice (I got several compliments at the party), were easy to install, and worked fairly well. The problem is that both leaked quite badly during the party. I anticipated the possibility so laid down a thick towel and a container to catch the drips, but it was still several cups of punch wasted. Part of the problem might have been that I had them a little lower down on the pumpkin, and so were at a bit of an angle. If I had put them where they were perpendicular to the floor though, over half of the pumpkin would have been useless for holding liquid. Anyway, I will try again in the summer with some water melon and place them closer to the center to see if that helps.

Big fun, worth the money
I was shocked by how well this product worked. It was one of the cheaper items that we were considering bit decided to go for it. The ease of use was incredible. It did not clog or have any performance issues. We had no leakage problems. You can find multiple videos on YouTube about fast ways to puree the watermelon inside. We bough a second set of these - one for kiddos and one for "adult" drinks. Worth the $7!

Tri-pod like design to stand watermelon is a bad idea. There should be 4 little plastic legs to stand the watermelon on.
i had a party for my birthday and used this product to make watermelon margaritas. i set it up on a table where some of my guests were sitting. it was fine for maybe an hour then out of nowhere the watermelon fell over and spilled all the contents. we thought it might have gotten knocked over by accident somehow even though my guests said they didn't touch the watermelon. we got another watermelon, made more, and put it on the same table. the SAME thing happened. and this time the drink fell on one of my guests. i would have gladly paid an extra 4 or 5 dollars for another little plastic leg for the watermelon to rest on so this wouldn't have happened. the tri-leg stand design is not sturdy enough for a watermelon filled with liquid.

Fun fruit juice on tap.
I had a fun time serving smoothies out of the watermelon tap. I would recommend a larger watermelon and hollow out only 2 thirds of the watermelon and put the tap more in the center. My tap was low in the picture and pointed downwards making it difficult to put a glass under. The tap worked great by pressing bulb the smoothie poured out fine. Fun time making it and using it.

Leaked immediately
The part that cores the hole for the spout is smaller than the piece of the tap that needs to follow it. Thus once pushed through creates a bit of an issue. Once filled with liquid the spout would not stay in all the way (I believe it needs a nut of some sort to hold it inside the watermelon) causing the drink to leak out. Was a cute idea, but created a mess. One of the legs broke out of the watermelon bottom also.
