Essential gear in my home darkroom
What's not to like? The film reals load slightly easier and I get less leak/dripping when inverting than my other brand's tank. Also you definitely won't accidentally open the light tight lid on this one. I had one of each brand and actually got this to replace the other model.

It’s an affordable kit that works
This kit does exactly what it is supposed to do. It took some practice to load the film onto the reels in total darkness, then in the dark bag. After some practice and a few mistakes (trying to load the 120 backing paper instead of the film in the darkness) it is fairly smooth now.Things I like: The cost is affordable. The film is (now) easy to load. Overall the material quality seems good. It is easy to assemble, disassemble, and clean. Most importantly, it just works.Things I don’t like: The red watertight lid just slides on and as long as I hold it while turning over to agitate the film it stays sealed. If I don’t hold the lid securely it will dribble fluid out while agitating. The spinner stick, which allows agitation by twisting the stick, sits recessed into the top so my fat fingers can’t grip it well so it is just easier to agitate by inverting the tank (see photo).Things that would make this tank perfect: I wish the stick stuck up higher above the tank to make turning it easier. I would also like to see the red lid fitted with threads and a rubber seal to keep it watertight. With these two changes I think this would be a five star product.

Easy load spools, quick attach top cap, convenient threaded top.
I have been developing film for 50+ years. Used everything from see-saw, stainless reels and tanks, aprons and tanks, and Paterson products. I have found a new favorite in these tanks and reels. Reels are much more convenient to load, especially with arthritic or numb fingers. Like the threaded tank lid opposed to the 1/4 twist snap Paterson products. Top caps are easier to put on and don’t leak any worse than any other tank-reel combo. These might be better.

Works very well.
It’s works good! It doesn’t have that slim fit, chemistry saving, design that the Patterson does, but it hasn’t given me any trouble. I’ve put 6 rolls of Portra through it and all of them came out great. All the film was developed in a very bright room. No sign of a any light leaks in the tank. Reels are strurdy. It definitely isn’t leak proof, so just agitated with the built in system, not by rotating the canister itself.
