Smells amazing. Works great.
Just started the hair styling the journey and decided to try a few different products;- Reuzel Extreme Hold- Cremo High Hold Low Shine- Smooth Viking Matte Finish and Medium Hold- Suavecito Pomade Firme (Strong)My hair is straight and typically short and spikey, but I grow it out to test other styles. 2 Tests (Scent, and Hold)Started with Reuzel and although it worked okay it left me wanting more. The hold is strong, but depending on the style it doesn't always last all day. After about 7 or 8 hrs it may need some tweaking. And because its EXTREME you need a splash of water to loosen it up. The scent is described as a subtle sugary rum. Good, but not one I'd seek outHold: B+Scent: B-CremoAffordable which is always a plus: except when the product struggles to perform. Out of the four this one is the hardest to style, least likely to hold shape, and the smell isn't my first, second, or third choice (Maybe Hints of Smoky Vanilla and Tobacco/Bourbon) Can't say I've been a fan of the cremo scents I've tested.Hold: D-Scent: CSmooth VikingMore expensive than the other options. This one is a bit different than the rest because its a cream not a pomade or paste which makes it light and super easy to style. In doing so it sacrfices a bit of hold but its still strong enough under static conditions. However if there's any type of wind, you'll be constantly fidgeting with it. The smell is the worst of the bunch: tobacco scented Elmer's Glue?Hold: C+Scent: DSuavecitoQuite literally saved the best for last. Holy smokes this smells amazing (can't even describe it, but its what pomade should smell like) and the hold works excellent. Lasts all day. No complaints so far.Hold: AScent: A

Damn near perfect.
Well let’s get to the nitty gritty. If you are looking at this product, you are probably looking at the Layrite Strong Hold and maybe Uppercut also in addition to the Sauvetico Firme.Firstly, I didn’t purchase uppercut because it’s just too expensive. So I left that out of the running for me.My hair – very course and unwieldy even on a good day. I see lots of reviews where people say “Oh I have very difficult to control hair” then you see them with this perfect pompadour. I’m the guy that can’t pull off a full pompadour even if I wanted to because my hair is just too uncontrollable. Instead I use pomade at the suggestion of my barber that said I’m using too much gel to keep my 2” long hair in check. “I should instead try pomade”. That led me here. On to the products…Layrite Strong Hold – Good consistency, held up throughout the day, washed out easily with water. All great. But the smell was a little off-putting. It’s not natural. It reminds me of The Hunt for Red October when Jonesy says: “Now that’s got to be manmade, captain”. The product held decently, but I personally just couldn’t get past the smell.Enter Sauvetico Firme. Smelled just right, a very light scent but the scent was of ‘freshness’. The second I took a dab out of the tub I could instantly tell the difference on control compared to the Layrite Strong Hold. The Sauvetico Firme felt much thicker and stronger and that’s before I even got it into my hair. Once I worked it in, wow, yes. This is what I’ve been needing! I didn’t even bother to blow dry it (to keep it in place) because I could tell it was strong enough to hold it on its own.Sauvetico now has a lifetime customer. Great product which holds and smells good. Oh, and it washed out without issue. Highly recommended.

Be the Boss of your Hair
I really like Suavecito Pomade. I have been using American Crew Pomade for years and it’s a good product that adds a nice shine, but it has limited hold that doesn’t last very long. I found myself reapplying it later in the day. I tried the American Crew Grooming Cream. It had better hold, but it smelled terrible and left a waxy build up in my hair and caked up on my brush. Suavecito smells good and a little product lasts all day. It drys stiff, but if you want to re-style your hair, just run your wet hands through your hair and re-brush it. The water reactivates it. Awesome for crazy morning hair. This product works great for radical styles and for a greased-back look..without the grease. I’m hooked. I just hope they never stop making it.

Favorite pomade!
In comparison to Imperial Classic Pomade and Lockhart's Hair Pomade, this is my favorite of the three. The smell of this pomade reminds me of a barbershop with men's cologne, and is notably my favorite thing about this product. The hold on this works well for light tasks at work or school. If my hair comes loose or falls apart a wet comb fixes back to perfection! If not my hand works well too since it's fairly malleable even without water. It has good shine if you comb your was damp when you applied it, otherwise it dries to a matte finish. My only gripe with this pomade is how it spreads throughout your hair. While not as difficult as Lockhart's it had a bit more resistance than Imperial did. I found myself pulling out some hair from time to time because of it. However, this stuff rinses off my hands and my hair easily with just water. It's price, ease of use, and fragrance easily makes it my favorite pomade. Love it or hate it, this stuff is a classic for a reason!
