Venture Smoked Wild Boar & Butternut Squash Limited Ingredient Dry Dog Food

Older dog developed chicken allergy and severe IBD (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea). Have tried so many foods, along with meds. & supplements. Couldn't tolerate prescription hydrolyzed proteins, could only eat ground beef and rice, which doesn't provide all the nutrients this older dog needs. The Boar and Squash flavor has worked beautifully- much more normal digestion, great coat, NORMAL stools! I still mix with ground beef, hope to move solely to kibble. It is nutrient rich but grain and pea free, and addresses heart health with taurine etc. Also has probiotics elements -I no longer have to give probiotic capsules. This food is pricey but works for my dog and I was able to stop $$$ supplements and antacid. So worth it.

Not only does my picky dog love this food, the ingredients are fantastic. It's a premium quality food but well worth every penny. You don't smell any of that artificial "smoke" scent but my dog seems to smell something good because she chows down on it like it's caviar! Even the bag is truly biodegradable with a reclosable seal. Great product!

My dog is allergic to proteins in dog food- this brand has worked miracles that not even hypoallergenic food could! I cycle through each flavor to keep her allergies from connecting to these more unusual proteins and for the first time in 2 years, she isn’t throwing up or refusing her food. It is amazing and the most wonderful thing! She suffers from IBD and hasn’t had any bad reaction to this food- other than the duck (so no feathered critters in her food at all) I am so delighted with this food- and grateful

My dog loves all foods, but she has sensitivities to many ingredients. This food is perfect and I'm so happy I found it! She is doing great on this food!

I opened the bag and it has a terrible smell.It almost smells like a chemical.I will not feed this to my pups.I have used this brand many times but, something is definitely wrong this time.

My only issue is the price. I like the ideas of using meat from an invasive species and my dog really loved it.

In shipping or handling, the bag was sliced open in a small area which alarms me for several reasons. . Freshness… but mostly safety because I don’t take for granted everything that’s edible is safe to consume once packaging has been compromised. Otherwise, this brand is excellent and my dog does well on this formula. Pork is good for dogs with allergies because I’ve tried it all.

My 11 year old dog has always had a chicken allergy, but has recently developed more skin itchiness even with Zignature brand dry food. We decided to try this because it was even more limited. It seems to have helped him. He really loves the wild boar too, and he’s a very picky eater.
