... have to say that I am totally and completely disappointed with my purchase
i have to say that I am totally and completely disappointed with my purchase. starting with the size chart which I used to take the correct pants size. it is totally oversize. disappointing, the material is not what I expected and to me it is not suitable to work in a kitchen. it feels like plastic. buy now I have no idea what to do with that huge, large, oversize pants. waste my money.sorry but that is how I feel.

Great pants.
Pants are somewhat long but easy to roll up. I wear a 32x30 and the mediums were still decently long. Very roomy, no left back pocket (ever since I was a dishwasher that was my go to rag pocket, which is why this means so much to me), the pants are the smooth kinda polyester but they don't make too much noise and man are they comfy. Lightweight and pretty resilient, easy to clean. Compared to my dickies work pants, they beat all categories, except for one. And that's dickies' double knee. Makes being on your knees so much less taxing. But this isn't a dickies review. These pants are a definite buy for any kitchen job. I also reviewed some pinstripe pants that are nice too

Every time I have some extra money lying around I get another pair of these for my boyfriend. He's a chef in a very hot kitchen with no AC, so comfort and airflow are a must. They last forever, fit great, and honestly don't look bad from a fashion standpoint...given that we're talking about chef's pants here, of course. He loves the pockets too. The only way I'd stop buying these would be if he stopped working as a chef or if

The cell phone pocket is too small for smart phones but the one on the other side of the pants works fine. The fit is perfect in the waist but I had to take it to my dry cleaner and have her shorten up the pant legs to 30 1/2". Had I not done that I would have been tromping on the pant legs. Still all in all I would give it 5 stars and they don't have the ability to get a perfect fit all the way around. The important part was the waist fitting so well. These are 100% polyester so if you work a deep fryer or with boiling water, I wouldn't recommend these but would recommend you buy a cotton pair.

Cheap material, poorly made, save your money.
Cheap plastic-like/windbreaker material. Huge 5 inches of side seam not sewn. Got this for a Halloween costume — not worthy. Sending these back, save your money.

Reasonable value, could be a lot better
Reasonable value for price. But all synthetic fabric is very stiff, even after washing, heavy,(so maybe durable), but not breathable so hot; and strongly attracts lint and pet fur which, with their dark color, greatly detracts from their appearance and ease of care. (Would also be nice to have option of white or some lighter color. The small cargo pocket for a cell phone on the left thigh is a good idea, but too shallow and too narrow: can just barely get my iPhone 6s in it, though can’t close Velcro patch at top to secure it. Any phone even a little wider wouldn’t get in at all, and a taller phone would stick out the top. (A minor issue: as a right-handed, I’d prefer it on right side.)

Crotch stitch seems weak, very prone to splitting without prior warning
Crotch seam rips easily. Given the range of motion that goes on in a kitchen, these pants don't seem very strong. Preventative stitching Doesn't help and stitching and gluing doesn't help. At this point, it's a headache to keep repairing them, but at $20 each, I can't bring myself to just up and throw them out. I recently bought 3 pairs, and within a month, all three ripped the crotch stitch. I don't think I'll be buying more of these pants for my job.

Love these slacks
This is my second pair of these slacks. I got them because they looked like they might be comfortable, and they definitely are. I prefer loose slacks because I am fairly active and I definitely prefer an elastic waist, but so many slacks that fit my hips are really loose at the waist. These fit me perfectly because the elastic really does do its job. In addition, they have wonderful pockets: the right pocket holds my cell phone and wallet perfectly, so I can get by without a purse. I love all the pockets. In addition, the fabric seems to shed dirt so they always look clean. I've washed them several times and they don't shrink, and they look like new when they come out of the dryer.Yes, I know. These slacks are for chefs and I'm not a chef. But they are comfortable, have great pockets, look nice, and are my favorite slacks.
