Kanpeki Knife Set & 7-inch Santoku

This is a useful four piece knife set and I believe they are very good quality after 3 months of regular use. The only thing that surprised me is that the knives, while clearly sharp enough, aren't as sharp as I expected. As a comparison, I purchased a set of German knives in the 1990s and was constantly cutting myself until I got used to using them. With this set, I haven't cut myself yet - which is a good thing. I'm sure some of this has to do with age, but I wonder if it's also a byproduct of using a single sided blade? Definitely recommend these and anticipate that they will last a long time.

Nicely packed and boxed!. Used the largest one so far. Does it's job , sharp enough, but not as sharp to as to cut a paper with single slash, which I think may be good ( less chance of slashing my own finger )! Haven't used yet the smaller ones to give full feedback.

Wanting a set for awhile and just happened to stumble upon a promotion and stole the set. Should have bought the other 5.
