Absolutely BRILLIANT!!!!
Of all the Architecture/Design books I own if I was given the choice of getting to keep but just one book it would have to be this book. I'm an Architect/Sculptor/Designer and although I've only skimmed this book (as it just arrived) I was immediately struck by the quality and depth of content. His creative solutions are not only well exhibited by numerous photos but well accompanied with in-depth text explanations, process sketches and fabrication photos. This book has Thomas Heatherwick's personal touch all over it. I feel like I'm witnessing yet another Leonardo da Vinci but of the 21st Century. His design solutions are so out of the box that his body of work will inspire all of us in the art and design communities to go well beyond our own personal boundaries so as to embrace a new 'WHAT IF?'.

A Heatherwick Studio Monograph
This is probably the only monograph out there on Heatherwick Studio. It contains a thorough survey of their projects with their conceptual thinking and beautiful pictures of finish products, models, renderings, etc but not drawings or details to construct them.

beautiful, engrossing, wonderful
We went and saw the Heatherwick exhibition at the Victoria and Albert museum. I had never heard of him, but we were visiting London and it seemed like a good idea.It was an excellent idea! He is an architect/industrial designer of such vision, it was actually overwhelming to look at his work. They had run out of his books - because everyone who sees his stuff wants to know more - and I promised my son we would order it when we came come. It's an expensive books but it will give you hours of pleasure, as you leisurely dip in and out of it, looking at the buildings/structures he creates, seeing the world through new eyes. So glad that there are people like him out there, making us see beauty in a new light.

Brilliant compendium of design concepts.
Saw the Heatherwick exhibit at the Victoria and Albert and the rolling bridge in London this summer. The book documents the unusual and creative design concepts that emerge from the Heatherwick design group. It's unfortunate that you can't look inside this book before buying... it'd be a sure sales clincher.

Beautiful book
I am very happy with this purchase. Its a beautiful big book, I really love the unconventional squareish format, it feels nice to hold.Paper quality is great, every time I turn a page it feels like I grabbed two pages by mistake its that thick. The content is great Thomas explains the thought process behind his designs in detail. It is a very inspirational book, and got my creative juices flowing. For the price of £23 I think its a bargain.

An inspirational "must" for every artist
Love this book, the way it poses seemingly simply questions, and where those questions lead in terms of outcomes - the trials and errors and successes is amazing. Love the mixture of pictures and text, and the short chapters which make is easy to dip in and out of.

A Coffee Table Book
Impressive appearance, as you would expect from a Design Studio.Heatherwick became a household name as the creator of the London Olympics 2012 Cauldron. This book, copiously illustrated, describes the many and varied output and ideas of the Studio, varying from small items like Christmas Cards to large buildings. They also designed the new Routemaster bus for London Transport, known unofficially as the Boris Bus after the London Mayor Boris Johnson.A book to dip into. Well bound and produced.

PURE GENIUS
This book is perfect to get aquainted with Heatherwick's pure genius. All his projects are listed cronologically, each of them has one or more very good pictures and a description and explanation by Heatherwick himself, telling you how he conceived the idea. The spun chair, the rolling bridge, Shangai Expo Pavillion... and the absolutely astonishing Christmas cards... This book brings pure genius right into your hands!
