49cc Flying Horse 5G 4-Stroke Bicycle Engine Assembly Motor + Carb + Exhaust

This 50cc 4-cycle engine was purchased for use in a 1/3 scale RC model buggy and works well for the application. A standard clutch bell from a pocket bike with #25 chain fits perfectly and allows for a simple installation. I've only run the motor for about 30 minutes for the purpose of breaking the motor in, but can give my first impressions. The motor started on the first pull or two and needed the choke partially closed in order to idle without stalling while warming up. Once the engine had warmed up I was able to test it at full throttle in short bursts and was satisfied with the way it ran. There was a linear throttle response and good torque from idle through full throttle. The engine was relatively quiet compared to a 50cc 2-cycle engine I'd tried in the same vehicle before. The engine did have some trouble idling for extended periods of time and tended to speed up and slow down as if it was running lean. There are no fuel mixture carburetor adjustments, only the idle set screw. I didn't see any obvious problems and it seems to be getting a little better as the engine breaks in. The quality of the engine is acceptable for the $150 price, but only time will tell if it was a good buy or not.

Better than the first 4 Chinese motors I purchased. Gone 10 miles so far just commuting to and from work. All the others have out after about 8 miles. Still running great and the clutch is holding strong. This one speeds up way faster and runs smooth the entire time. I love the exhaust because the other style was big and bulky. Very happy with this purchase and will update when the clutch goes out because if anyone has the same problems I've had then it will be the clutch first

Terrible !! Product !!Didn't Start..brand new out of the box.. TotalPiece of Garbage...Spend the money and buy a brand you know.. Oh and thank God for Amazon's return policy ,because if it was up to the seller you'd be stuck with this piece of Garbage.. Worst of all , this is most time I have ever had to spend explaining to the seller why their product was terrible, and kept telling them that it would not start was my main reason...they kept wanting to troubleshoot, when I told them over and over I had already tried everything and just wanted my money back...

Easy install. Break in period was fast. This motor seems better than the one I got with my kit.Easy start up. I'm happy
