Anti-climatic
The knowledge and background regarding horses and everyday 'ranch life' the author was able to bring to life was simply impressive! Going into this novel with only the common knowledge of that particular life style, I was pleasantly pleased the author took the time explain the logistics of the daily life. Her use of illuminating text, describing the scenery, was also something to take note of. She was able to paint a picture with very little effort, and for that I applaud her.The plot itself was also intriguing. However, it is in my opinion the author was unable to back that up with the story in its entirety. Without giving anything away, I will just say, the main purpose as to why Kristine left the tour guide before was one of horror and utter vile circumstances; but very believable. Yet, when the time came for Kristine to face this problem head on, it became extremely anti-climatic. That unfortunately, is where the author had lost my interest.

The author made it easy to picture the scenery and place myself in the story. The characters were well developed and real. It's a beautiful story of facing the demons of your past, accepting yourself and the decisions you have made, then growing into your future. I fully enjoyed reading this book!

The Trail Leads to Love
I enjoyed learning about bears, horses and mules. The love story was great. I enjoyed the different professions the girls had. They worked out how to live together for the sake of love. I would recommend this book to my friends.

Slow start...? Bear the following quote in mind...
'You're supposed to have faith that the storyteller wouldn't be telling you the story if it wasn't important...'A book that asks its characters questions and answers them.As well as a romance, this story has some interesting stuff to say about the intersection of humans and wildlife. Romance. Wildlife. Photography. Personal development. Landscape. Adventure. Integrity. Bears. Satisfactory conclusions. What's not to love?Hope there's a sequel!

What a fantastic book, I enjoyed it immensely form the breath-taking descriptions of the views which I could clearly see in my minds eye, to the love unfolding between two beautiful women. Then the horror bits of surviving a rape attempt and a bear attack. I congratulate Laina Villeneuve on a beautifully written novel. I will be searching out more of her books.

Lovely story
This was a lovely story , it definitely had its ups and downs involving the characters which made you understand why they acted in a certain way which was very good. The details of the scenery and of the horse's were very good too, I could picture it all as I was reading it.

Book description fail!
Really enjoyed the adventure, however, totally confused as the book description and characters held absolutely no resemblance to the book... Someone has cocked up here, big time.
