RAMAKRISHNANANDA Incense Stick Bala Krishna Saf, 10 CT

These are great for filling a house full of great healthy scent. Open your windows and light one up for a monthly or seasonal space clearing. I'm going to try them in our crawl space next!

It's sweet but very calming. I think it's the saffron? Which is an unusual ingredient but I tried it and it's my favorite of the entire line.

I really can't think of a better descriptor for this blend than "tender," which I suppose is appropriate given what this blend is meant to convey. It's not as sweet as most incense offerings, but it grows on you. Like other blends from this company, it is rich and strong while burning but dissipates fairly quickly after.

I constantly burn incense and love both saffron and sandalwood, so I definitely wanted to try this. When I received the package, I noted how amazing it smelled from the outside. Remarkable in the most subtle way. I was disappointed to see there were only 10 sticks, however (making each stick 52 cents a piece). This is expensive for incense, but I thought if it burns as wonderful as it smells from the package, it may just be worth it. When I opened the package, I was further disappointed to see that not only was there only about 6" of actual fragrance and some was crumbling off the sticks. Either this is not well made or I was sent an old package. When it burns, it's one of those fragrances which is very good (reminds me of a softer nag champa) but so subtle that it fades into the background. I was hoping it would have been more potent and not have dissipated so quickly afterward. Like another reviewer, it might be better for a special occasion, like a ritual. Not sure if I'd buy it again. Maybe if it was stronger and lingered more. There's a lot of very fine incense out there which is similar and you either pay less for the same amount or get more sticks for the same price, so it's hard to justify the price per stick.
