Does what it should do

This arm strap is pretty poorly designed. It has a carabiner join in middle of strap that is positioned almost exactly in the bicep, so you can’t curl your arm while wearing it . It also requires you to spend another $15 on a Garmin clip. I tried using this strap on a 9 day back country adventure ride, but had to give up on it by the second day.

I bought this to wear as an arm band to carry my Inreach mini while hiking and it is comically large to wear on an arm. I have average sized female arms and the way the velcro is designed makes it impossible to make the loop small enough. If you are a large man and will wear this over a jacket or two it will probably work. Two stars because the quality seems good.

This was nearly impossible get onto my Garmin inReach device because the slip is so tight. Probably a good thing, but it was very frustrating.The band is wide and generously sized so will easily fit around most upper arms, thighs, etc. It does slide down a bit on nylon items (such as my mesh motorcycle jacket) so it needs to be cinched tight.

Wow this thing sucks. As soon as I pulled it out of the bag and looked at the instruction, I realized that you need to attach the inreach to the “Garmin Mini Spine Mount Adapter” in order to mount it. Mind you this is not included with the Inreach mini 2 nor with this product, so you’ll have to shell out another $15 to make this actually work. As it turns out the mini spine mount adapter does exactly what I wanted this thing for, which is attaching to my backpack strap. Also the product is both heavy and bulky, not to mention basically useless. Oh, and once installed, you can’t easily unmount it without an Allen wrench, so you have to remove it entirely anytime you want to use it. Wow. Terrible design. Will be retuning immediately.
