Yusuke Urameshi is a high school delinquent. He doesn't go to class, and he's always getting in fights. One day he is trying to save a boy that is about to be hit by a car, he is killed instead. He is approached by a pretty girl flying on a broom. Her name is Botan, and she's the Grimm Reaper.She offers him a chance to regain his life. After coming back to life Yusuke becomes a Spirit Detective. He gain spiritual powers and hunts down rogue apparitions that cause trouble for the living world. He is joined by his friend Kuwabara, the demons Hiei and Kurama. Together they fight off the deadly demons that seek to destroy the world.Kuwabara is kidnapped b/c Sensui learns that only he can stabilize the tunnel. Yusuke and the others chase after the kidnappers and arrive at the underground tunnel where a deadly series of games begin.This is a great series. It has lots of cool characters, good animation, voice acting, and a very engrossing story. It's a very long anime, so if you want to watch it be prepared to like it and spend a long time with it. It's one of those that gets more interesting as it progresses. Even though it has a bang up start it maintains the flow throughout. I would even go so far as to say that it's one of the most famous anime series' of all time. It has a bit of a Dragonball Z vibe to it, and everyone likes that. I highly recommend Yu Yu Hakusho to every anime fan, it's simply amazing.

Continuing from where the last DVD left off, Kuwabara has been captured by Shinobu Sensui and his team, and are off to Demon's door cave. There they plan to use his power to complete the steps needed to free all of the most powerful demons in the Demon Realm. Yusuke races off to try to catch up to the truck containing his friend, and to stop Shinobu from unleashing armageddon on the Earth. Now episode 79 and 80 focus on the race to catch up to the truck with Kuwabara inside, and Yusuke's eventual confrontation with Sniper. Now Sniper has some unique abilities, including one that allows him to attack Yusuke with any object without having to aim! He also has the ability to manipulate anything that he sees and Yusuke will end up finding that out the hard way. There is also another important figure in this whole mess and the fight between this person and Yusuke will blow your mind.Episode 81 and 82 shows the introduction of the young boy, who is called the GameMaster. Yusuke, Kurama, Matari(known as the Seaman), and the others all head to Demon's Door cave, to try to defeat the GameMaster at his own twisted game. A game that includes a series of challenges that the group must overcome before they can attempt to face the GameMaster himself. This kid is definetly no push-over and his wit, and knowledge of games is so impressive, that it surprises even Kito and Kurama. Lots of interesting plot turns, great fights, and puzzling moments all make this another worthy addition to the series. Highly recommended!

Yusuke Urameshi has his hands full as he tracks down Shinobu Sensui, the evil mastermind behind the opening of the tunnel between demon worl and living world. Sensui has kidnapped Kuwabara believing that he holds the key to completing the tunnel.But before reaching Kuwabara, Yusuke must first dodge his way past Sniper's incredible barrage of dangerous projectiles. Only then will Yusuke's team reach the territory of the Gamemaster, a villian who can manipulate reality into a very dangerous game.
