Q: Does the switch fit in the case with the grip protector sleeve on it?

Our experience has been that the fit is fine if you don't carry too much in the zip-pocket. This means that you can't really fit all the accessories in the case without the cartridge-pocket board applying pressure on the right stick. While this may not be a problem for some, I have real concerns about creating "stick drift" by closing the case for extended periods of time under these conditions. The case will close with everything packaged, but if you have the cover on the switch it's going to be somewhat snug.

Q: Why does the picture of the switch inside of the case show red headphones and a blue charger cable?

Dunno. Mine came with grey earbuds and a grey USB charger.

Q: Can you confirm that the charger that you send this with will not possibly brick the switch lite? Has it been fully tested for the possibility?

I would not use the usb charging cable it comes with only use licensed Nintendo accessories other wise it will do as they say “brick” your switch I used the cable my switch was bricked it shuts down and doesn’t come back on, but the case and everthing else is great especially for the price of cases and this one comes loaded with the headphones grip and double screen protectors

Q: Will this fit the switch lite animal version?

I don’t know what the animal version is, but I bought two of these for my grands switch lite with the controller built in. We’re please with them.
