Best Medical Tape Ever for Diabetic devices
I have tried many other types of medical tape in the past 10 or so years I been using my pump and cgm. Some would not stick at all. Some would fall off before 24 hours passed. Some lasted a couple days. Some gave me nasty rashes. I found this flexifix tape and fell in love. I am back for more. My last roll I ordered in April or May and finally needing to reorder. I use a little bit with every site change for my insulin pump and every cgm change. It stays on the entire life of the infusion set or sensor (3 days, a week) and I have to pull it off its still stuck there. In the summer months or when I will be in a lot of water I put mastisol under it and it works great. The top clear grid layer (that pulls off after you stick it on) is great so you can cut in a straight line to the size you need. For around my infusion set I use 4 pieces that are 2 grids wide (the full 2 inch length) and place it around all 4 sides of my infusion set. For my glucose sensor I cut three 2 grid wide pieces and place around the top of the sensor to anchor it in as the sensor doesn't have a lot of tape there. Then I place a small piece about 3-4 grids markings back under where my transmitter will lay to prevent the transmitter from irritating my skin. Then I cut 2 longer pieces and place one over the top of the sensor and one over the back side of the transmitter. I do not fully cover it as I noticed in the past when I did I would sweat under it and it had no where to go and would make the tape fall off...I wonder if thats some of the problem others complained about.I swim, shower, use hot tubs, etc with this tape and never have an issue. I have very sensitive skin and reacted to other products by this company and I do not react at all to this tape. Please Smiths and Nephew do not discontinue this tape.

Use these for many things
I originally got this to help provide extra security for my Dexcom and now I use it for many things. I cut small strips to secure my Dexcom and I also use it as a bandaid type replacement. I can't use normal bandaids due to an adhesive allergy. This roll lasts a long time and can be use for many things. It works well and I don't get a rash from it.

So much better than a "bandaid" -- UPDATE *** May be allergenic ***
Transparent, easy to apply, waterproof, excellent adhesion, very durable, and does not irritate your skin. I've tried waterproof "bandaids", but they don't stay on more than a day before they start coming loose. I also tried the Nexcare waterproof foam tape, but that also started coming off in less than a day and it irritated my skin something awful. So glad I found this Opsite dressing. Now I just make my own bandaid by using a piece of gauze over the wound, or cut the middle part of a traditional bandaid and put it over the wound, and use the Opsite as the top dressing and I have a bandage that lasts for days on end. Love it!Update- The more I've been using this I realize this is most likely causing an allergic reaction in the form of an itchy rash. I've recently used it on one of my fingers and also on my stomach area, both times I've experienced intense itching after about 1/2 a day and when I removed the Opsite bandage all the skin it was covering was red, itchy, and sore. Took a couple of days for the rash to clear. I doubt I'll be using this again.

Multifunctional
WowZaas! This stuff is sticky, and certainly gets the job done. I purchased it for a few reasons. Due to an illness (gastroparesis), I'm on a continuous feeding tube and am currently not very mobile. I tend to favor my right elbow and am starting to get tissue breakdown. I thought this would work well to hold a gauze pad in place, and it does. I'm also on a fentanyl patch and needed something waterproof to keep it secure. Again, works well. A few days ago my feeding tube started to split open and I have to wait for a new one to come in before I can have mine switched out. I just wrapped some of this magic around it and it's been secure. So yes, very multifunctional. I will say that it can be tricky to work with at first, and I actually wasted a small amount. Other than that, it's a really great product. Plus, you really do get a lot for the price.

5 weeks I may need to add Smith & Nephew OpSite Flexifix Transparent Film which is fantastic, thin and very flexible
I use Skin tac adh 4 oz. Skin-Tac-H before applying my Dexcom sensor and seems to hold it very well. I typically aim to use my sensor for at least two weeks and this gives the extra hold i need. Without this, normallyafter about 6 days the edges would be raised quite significantly. I am very active and sweat lots - mountain biking, spin cycling etc. and this holds. After about 1.5 weeks I may need to add Smith & Nephew OpSite Flexifix Transparent Film which is fantastic, thin and very flexible. I rate this a four star as i would like it to be slightly wider but easy to use to fit over the sensor by cutting a hole in it.

Better than I expected
This works great to protect a wound and be able to shower etc. So much better than bandaids.

Once you use this you won't ever go back
Bought this to help keep my G5 Dexcom cgm on my skin. I'm a hairy person and its tough to get stuff to stick for extend periods of time. I was trying to avoid shaving every spot i put the moniter. This tape took a bit to get used to how it worked but once I got the knack its done exceptionally well. I had tried about every tape I could find at walgreens and was extremely frustrated with how fast the others would bunch up when I moved an become useless in less than a few hours. I took the excess from cutting a whole out for my monitor and put it on my knuckles. I work in IT and type most of the day. Its the end of the first day as I write this review and the tape is still solidly stuck to my knuckles. I'm very impressed. I would recommend this for anyone that needs to keep something taped to skin for any length of time. As for price, it may be expensive but given I spent an more money over several weeks on other cheaper products its no contest.
