YES ! I thought I needed a phase with more options then 1 knob so I tried 3 kinds of phase 90 like pedals and liked the mad professor one best but wasn't all jacked up about it. After a few years I got this one and as soon as I tried it out I knew this was ITI absolutely love it .( sorry M.P. )It's so smooth and lush and just right and just1 knob, I should have gotten it in the first place I promise you will love it too. I'm 55 yrs old been playing a long time trust me . Thank you mxr !

The classic sounds of the Phase 90 have been many and this reissue nails them all. Warm analog goodness that's surprisingly versatile for a one knob pedal. You can easily dial in the phased 70s clean guitar passages on Lou Reed 'Rock and Roll Animal' era songs that Steve Hunter and Dick Wagner performed so brilliantly, or a Nazareth 'Love Hurts' vibe, or the Stones' 'Shattered'.... This box does it all. Perhaps most surprising was that after all these years of playing guitar and of course, digging Van Halen, I never knew that setting this box on the slowest speed (knob all the way to the left) is the definitive VH1 lead guitar tone. Sounds like every solo from that album. Now I know! And if you didn't, know you know too. Don't hesitate, get this pedal. It's worth every penny.

I assumed that it would come with a battery installed but I was wrong . I noticed that the power would not pass though with it turned off and thought I have zero use for something that always needs to be turned on. I did not notice any difference when I turned the knob (because there could be no difference). I decided to unscrew the back and sure enough there was no battery. Its funny because I ended up using it for about a half hour and thought it really is mellow ... I put in in my pedal board chain and it drained the 9 volt battery to zero in a couple of days. When I bought it I assumed it would have a 9 volt jack (does not) and according to the manufacture it needs to be unplugged from the chain after each use or it will eat expensive batteries. MXR makes the same pedal with a 9 volt jack and LED light so you can tell its turned on so they should not sell this primitive pedal anymore. I tried to install a 9 volt jack and it feeds back so bad it won't work at all. MXR support will not offer any advice other than buy the correct pedal. I have several of their pedals but in the future I will look at the competitor's pedals before buying from them again.

This pedal is EXCELLENT in every way. The tone and effect is exactly what I expected and you don't need an LED light like on the block version. The effect is noticeable and you know if it's on or off.I had an original EHX Small Stone pedal and it's was good for fusion stuff, but didn't work for more aggressive material.The MXR '74 Script Vintage Phaser Re-issue is as close as it gets to the original, if not spot on.This pedal will stay on my board, permanently !

Classic Phaser Sound. First day I got it I was playing the riff from Shattered on my telecaster. I knew this going in but there is no external power outlet on this item. Batteries only. Other than that I couldn't be happier. Only 4 stars due to poor shipping speed. Next day air should really mean next day. Ordered on a Saturday, order went in Monday, item scheduled on a Tuesday for delivery, rescheduled to to the item not being sent out of the warehouse on time.

I took a long time looking and listening to all the phaser pedals and this is the original sound from all the classics such as Eddie Van Halen and Jimmy Page. Same exact pedal they used. Well worth the money if you want the classic sound of the 70s-80s. No power jack so you will need to get a power plate or disconnect the pedal when your done to save the battery. I dont regret buying this pedal at all. MXR is making some nice stuff again.

Great sound but missing modern conveniences. I Wish I had bought the newer MXR small enclosure with additional sound options.

Excelente pedal, simple y útil para canciones de Pink Floyd o Van Halen, y aún así tiene mucho que ofrecer. Única desventaja es que solo se puede usar con una batería de 9v. Independientemente de ello este pedal es un most en mi setup. Le pongo 4 estrellas porque el paquete llegó un poco dañado.

For about 5 seconds I am Dave Gilmour! Great sound and remember to unplug the leads as it drains the 9v battery, no external power jack point with this one.

Bel pedale, interviene sul suono iodo elegante, l'effetto c'è ma non esagera, bello per funk, psycjedelia, molto seventies, il problema è che non è true bypass, difficile escluderlo quando non lo vuoi!

Excellent reissue in terms of quality of production and the sound it produces. No doubt other pedal give a wider range of sounds but if you missed out on buying an original or need to replace an original and want "that sound" (e.g. a 60s/70s/80s cover band) this does the business.
