I recommend for every backer looking to lighten the load and handle 35 lbs cargo loads.
Fantastic little spring hooks that just fit onto 5 strand 550 parachute cord. I have then for my hammock quilts, tarps, pillow anchor, bear bag and a slew of other things around my camp. They work great for equipment necklaces and keychains too. I have used them with 25 lbs loads and in winds up to 40 mph and they came through it like a champ. I don't know why the other reviewers claimed they don't fit on parachute cord, they must have mushroomed the end of the line when they melted it. I don't have any problem with them on 550 PC as long as I'm careful.I not only recommend them but keep a few on hand to give to other backers to lighten their load a bit.

Good quality spring. Will probbaly work best just clipping it to itself.
I had one vision for these and that was they would be at least big enough to easily hook directly into a standard tarp grommet. They are 1” total and the throat is about half that. As you can see in my pic... not happening. They seem to be great quality and the springs are impressive. If they would make these just a bit bigger, they’d sell even more. I believe your only choice to use these would be run the clip up through your grommet and then clip it back on itself.

The clip end easily and quickly accepts the para cord diameter for clipping ...
I use a para cord for numerous things both at home and work. Bought these in the past, present, and will in the future. They hold up really well for quick attachment and securing of gear/equipment that is repeatedly used and re-secured. NO, they will not hold hundreds of pounds. While you can't rappel with them there are still limitless uses for these little things. I keep spares clipped on my key rings for when needed. On standard para cord you need to melt and twist into a point then the cord fits snug through the eyelet. If you melt end of cord into a tiny bead at the end it won't pass through the eyelet. The clip end easily and quickly accepts the para cord diameter for clipping onto other lines.

Excellent for individual keys or keychain items
I will find lots of uses for these. It is an easy way to add or remove things to my keychains. The photo shows size comparisons of one of these with"Fekey&JF Carabiner Clip Retractable Ring Set Titanium Keychain Quick Release Hooks"on the left and the"BANG TI Build Your Custom Keychain Titanium Heavy Duty Mini Carabiners Quick Release Hooks"on the right.

I don't like lots of keys on a ring
I've had one of these for ten years which came with a flashlight purchase and have wished for and searched for the exact thing ever since I got the first one.I use it as a keyring clasp instead of the bulky pull apart kind. I don't like lots of keys on a ring, just my car key and house key. With this clasp I can take my house key off quickly and easily with very little unnecessary bulk. The clasps purchased from Szhoworld have a very nice finish to them (I chose gunmetal matte finish), and the clasp mechanism itself is tight with a firm spring to it. I don't put cord through them, so I don't know if 4-6mm cord will fit, but I agree these are too small for use with 550 paracord. I'm very happy with the product, and I'm placing another order before they stop selling them. You can't find these anywhere else. Get 'em while you can.

great for backpacking.
PERFECT! I've been looking for these forever. A metal version of the popular "mitten hook", these are great for camping. I put them on the end of my hammock's rainfly guy lines, so they go around trees and clip to themselves or to the tent stakes. Nice tight gate keeps them from popping loose, and the metal hooks won't bend like the plastic versions did. No more getting out in the wind and rain to fix a popped loose guy line.

Smaller than expected, but work well
They are just big enough to thread 550 paracord through... but no extra give; if you melt an end wider than the cord is, then it won't fit through. The spring side is super small too, making it difficult to clip to most things you'd want to (i.e. backpack straps). Work for my need making it easy to tie down loads with paracord, but not a super flexible device.

Disappointed with the size
Disappointed with the size. I expected something a little bigger. I guess the size in mm didn't translate too well with my inch mind.Good quality, seems strong for the size, and should outlast the old clips I was using. Paracord just makes it though the hole and a little tough clipping them on to paracord but I can live with that. Sure wish they were about 25% larger.
