Easy to use and compact!
I purchased this to try my hand at astrophotography on a recent trip to Utah. It was my first time attempting to shoot the stars at night. This shutter release worked flawlessly! I didn't have to make any adjustments (changing channels). It was so easy to use. Like I always recommend with any device, READ THE MANUAL cover to cover first and you will get maximum enjoyment from your new device. I'm extremely happy with how it performed and I'm eagerly looking forward to using it soon for some night shoots in Hawaii.

Great for the price
I must say this does much more than I'll likely ever use it for and haven't tried most of the settings, just the single photo shutter release and multiple photo shutter release. I was able to stand inside my house with the remote and take these pictures of the birds at my bird feeder. There is no way I could do that standing outside by the feeder. The great thing about it is that the receiving end doesn't need to be pointed right at the remote. I had it hanging down with the camera on a tripod and a flash on top and it worked great. Then I took the flash off and put the receiving end on pointing the wrong direction and it still worked great. I highly suggest it, just make sure you choose the right one for your camera. Mine is a Canon EOS T6.

Great little device
Great little device. I am using it for long exposure photography and I am very happy with the purchase. The smaller receiver can connect to the hot shoe on the top of the camera or dangle from the camera if flash is needed. The button on the transmitter works the same as the camera's button. Pushing the button halfway caused the camera to focus and pressing the button completely has the camera take the picture.Works as expected and the build quality is good.

Problem with the cable. Remote is good.
I gave the Pixel TW-283 Shutter release a 3 star.I’d give the transmitter and the receiver a 5 star, but the cable supplied caused it to stop working after two outings. The transmitter and receiver would both show a red light when I pressed the release button, but the shutter didn’t go off.Camera: Nikon D3300, Cable: DC2After searching online; reviews, camera forums etc. I found a lot of comments about the cable being the problem the Pixel TW-283 wasn’t working. So after purchasing a new cable it is now working again. You’ll need a 3.5mm plug end. I mistakingly ordered one with a 2.5mm plug.Amazon was great through it all, they refunded the cable that was 2.5mm and I received the correct one in 2 days. So, after receiving the new cable I took a close look at it compared to the original one and they did not look the same.I’ve included a close-up of both cable ends (the DC2) and the one that was NOT working appears to have one less brass pin. The red arrow indicates the bad cable.Frankly, I’m not sure if this is normal. I have two Nikon battery chargers that have different pin configurations and they both work. But if you’re having trouble getting your remote to function, you probably have a bad cable. There are actually (4) different listings for the Pixel TW-283 Shutter release on Amazon. There are two that are sold by Ninenine Inc. and knight-official that are sold with two cables for Nikons; (DC2 and DC0)There are two that are sold by Zilemall and AXCOCO (This is the one I purchased). Both of these are sold with one cable. They are either $39.99 or $49.99.Another interesting discovery was the replacement DC2 cable with a 3.5mm plug sold by GFSHOP has a description on the page that reads: “This cable allows you to connect Pixel TW283-DC2 Shutter Remote Control to compatible cameras, instead of buying a complete new set of remote”. (No, I'm not kidding)Amazon was great through the experience.Bottom line:Is it a good wireless remote shutter? Yes.Is the cable that came with it reliable? No.Now that it’s working again, it’s a great shutter release.

It’s lightweight and battery charge lasts long.
This product was plug n play. I started using it within seconds of connecting it to the camera. Batteries lasts for a long time. I was able to shoot multiple jobs for a couple of weeks before needing to change the batteries. I use rechargeable batteries & am super happy that I was able to use this wireless trigger effortlessly.

Great remote shutter
I'm able to trigger this thing from around 100 ft away. It has great range. Really bummed that it uses disposable batteries instead of something rechargable. Getting it into the correct mode is a little difficult, so I typically carry around the instruction manual incase I forget.

Simple and effective.
Reliable and relatively easy to use. Looked online and found great tutorials for shooting time-lapse with it.

For Nikon D7500- Works Great!
Product works perfectly with Nikon D7500. Easy to setup and begin using. Remote focus and shutter release without a hitch.Plenty of helpful videos to watch for additional training, walkthrough of more complicated time lapse set up.

The manual is not well written
I spent quite a while trying to get this to work. It was partially my own fault, but could easily have been avoided if the manufacturer had spent more time in composing the manual. While I appreciate the problems of translating Chinese to English, there are many highly skilled interpreters and technical writers in China who could have been (cheaply) contracted to produce a decent manual. Also, printing the manual in a readable font size would be a welcome improvement - at the cost of a couple of pages of paper.

Awesome Remote
I lost my first one of these so I bought another. I use mine every time I take family photos to avoid running around with the self-timer on. It is also great for an off-camera trigger any time you want to avoid camera shake. It also has a pretty good intervalometer which is very useful for time-lapse photos. It has both the half-click to focus and full-click to take a photo on my Rebel T6.I think it is pretty great value for the money.

Good one
A little bulky for a selfie but you can always use the schedule option and set up a 5-7 second delay in the beginning to hide the remote control. Good range. You've got to keep in mind the drive settings on your camera because sometimes you may leave single shooting there and then try to do scheduled or delayed shooting on pixel and it won't work as expected. Canon 90d. Search for a youtube video (just type the name of the product) that explains in 10 mins how to use all of the features of this remote shutter. The included instruction manual is poorly written and will take you hours of frustration to understand the same concepts

Item tested and works pretty well except for bulb mode
This item does what it's suppose to do however, I noticed when using bulb mode for Canon 5D Mark IV that you can press the remote shutter and hold button but it will react as just pressing and letting go. There is other remote shutters which will continue to hold when you click and hold but this remote device does not seem to work for being able to perform a hold for a specific manual period of time.

Great wireless range.
It takes a while to understand how to set up time interval shots, but once you do, it works great. I will only occassionally need to do time interval, so I look forward to trying it in a real life application. I discovered that for this application the transmitter 'downloads' the complete sequence to the receiver, so that once you press start, you can then turn off the transmitter and the receiver will continue to fire the shutter on it's own.My main use will be just for 'remote shutter' using a tripod. Not having to actually press the camera's shutter button, and perhaps move the camera, is a big deal for me. The wireless range is more than adequate for me, as well. It's a great tool, for the price!
