You can pay £10 for a small sachet of this fungi at a garden centre, or get a big 2.5L tub for £40. The instructions are not clear but the tub contains a sachet of gel which you mix with water and then stir in the fungi particles. I used a paintbrush to paint the roots of the 100 plus bare root beech trees I planted out, about 3 weeks ago. I'm pleased to say that they are already showing signs of green leaves. I've used this stuff before for a box hedge which established very quickly indeed and the same seems to be happening here. It's also recommended on the RHS garden course I did, so I'd recommend it to anyone. After all, when spending hundreds or thousands on plants, it's sensible to give them the best start possible.

Certainly worth using when planting new roses. Definite improvement in growth compared with roses planted without using this
