Weck Jars 580 ml, Set of 6 and 6 Rubber Rings with 12 Clamps

These are the nicest preserving jar. I feel happy when I see them in my pantry filled with ham, chutney and pickles. Well done Weck

These are admittedly expensive, but beautifully designed and very functional, so worth the extra cost. I use them mainly for yoghurt-making, the 500ml capacity makes 4 perfect yoghurts from a 2-litre bottle of milk. I imagine they would be perfect for preserving and the little clips are easy to use once you've figured out how they go on. They are also perfect for making sourdough starter, as the wide mouth makes it easy to scrape every last bit of starter from the jar with your rubber spatula. The glass lid is perfect for the starter too, as it just sits on top. And of course they clean up really well in the dishwasher. In addition to that I think they are a beautiful shape. I expect they will last a lifetime too, if well cared-for.

Perfect for my overnight oats & salad jars

I love these jars but I'm so cross at the packaging. It's almost non existent! The glass jars arrived in their original box with absolutely zero protection, so of course, partially damaged (well, smashed!). Who in their right mind would package a glass item with no bubble wrap or similar and expect it to arrived safely? My only option is to return the whole order and wait for redelivery, but of course the rest will be smashed in transit if I return it in the same state! Shame on whoever sent this out.

Perfection. Arrived prior to the APOCALYPSE so I will be able to make my own pickles while isolated.

This is the perfect size for a single serving of leftovers, and it seals great. One thing I took a long moment to realise is that to break the seal once it's cool, you just pull the little tab on the rubber ring and it'll release. Microwave safe makes it my go-to for meals at work.
