this book help my tinnitus a lot i think i will cure my tinnitus thanks to this book
I went to many doctors ear nose and throat doctors audiologist and none of them told me how to cure my tinnitus like this book. Only one audiologist knew the cure like the author. The author does an excellent job explaining and teaching everything about tinnitus he is an expert. I had tinnitus for 10 years due to being next to a loudspeaker. I listened to the pink noise for eight hours a day like the author says in his book and it helped lower my tinnitus a lot. My tinnitus bothered me a lot before I found this book it was very hard for me to cope with my tinnitus every day all day I had to listen to sound machines 24/7 to mask my tinnitus so I could have relief and now I do. Thanks, peter my tinnitus is much better and i am going to be cured if I listen to the pink noise 8 hours a day for a year.

One of the best books I found
After reading a couple of books on tinnitus, my conclusion is that this book had the best and most helpful information. Mr. Studenik focused on the Tinnitus Retraining Therapy, by Dr. Pawel Jastroboff. Mr. Studenik explained what Dr. Jastroboff's method is, and how to implement it. The author also has a website which has some interesting articles and links. There were two websites mentioned in the book: www.tinnitus-pjj.com, and www.tinnitus.org. After personally reading the contents of the websites, I found them to be informative and very helpful as well. There is a lot of unhelpful information out there, and some of it, unfortunately, comes from doctors. I have been the recipient of some of that unhelpful and outdated information. The only shortcoming I could find in the author's website is the information on the earbuds he recommends with the MP3 player. They have been discontinued by the manufacturer, so I am in the process of finding a replacement to go with my MP3 player. If you are having a problem with tinnitus, I suggest reading this book and looking at the treatment protocol of Dr. Jastroboff as an option for treatment. I am using suggestions in this book for my own treatment. And even thought I am not completely cured, the option outlined in this book gives me much hope.

worth trying
Got the book, downloaded the file, didn't help me, but I didn't take the time to "log" every noise and situation. Worth trying for yourself.

Poorly written and translated
Little of value here. Most is common sense and information available elsewhere. Poorly written personal story. Poorly translated with some typo's and markups making it to print. Move on...

The title of the book is what caught my attention ...
The title of the book is what caught my attention and says it all for me. The fact that this book was written by someone who has experienced this condition and has successfully healed has given me hope and inspiration in my healing journey. That alone was worth the price of the book! The author provides a first hand account of his experience of the onset of his tinnitus, his struggles with the condition, and his discovery of the research of Neurologist Pawel Jastreboff, PhD., Sc.D. Although he sought out the help of professionals who follow the protocols of Jastreboff’s work, the author chose more or less a ‘do it yourself’ approach with the use of sound therapy. He also described other treatment modalities that were instrumental in his healing including psychotherapy, cranial-sacral therapy, and physiotherapy. He also stresses the importance of maintaining a daily diary as well as taking note of the affects of the food in your diet.I have been utilizing the technique outlined in the book for a couple of weeks now. It’s a bit early for me to determine the efficacy of the information as I have just gotten started. However, I’m aware that this is a not a magic bullet but a process that requires patience, faith and time.I found the book to be written in fairly straightforward manner and can be completed within an hour or two. I should mention that the book was originally written in the Czech language and was translated to English. I did find a few minor translation or typographical errors here and there. But these did not seem to interrupt the clarity or flow of information.

Brillian, life-changing book on treating and curing tinnitus
Peter Studenik's book is simply the best book on tinnitus. It explains in an easy-to-understand format the cause and solution to tinnitus. He describes the tinnitus sound as electrical activity of living nerve cells - essentially, the sound is "music of the brain." Tinnitus is triggered by an extreme event such as stress or loud concerts. And the solution is to retrain the brain to hear the tinnitus sound as background noise through a very specific use of sound therapy (pink or white noise), using high-quality sound equipment. He also discusses the importance of diet and stress reduction. His treatment is based on groundbreaking research of Dr. Pawel Jastreboff of Yale University. Peter Studenik explains this research in a logical, easy way, which is the brilliance of this book. Simply understanding the cause and the cure gives great hope and leads to recovery. This book should be read by anyone who experiences tinnitus and all doctors. It cannot be overstated. Really grateful that the author wrote this book.
