Hard to build but very cool when done.
They aren't kidding when they say this isn't really for beginners. Also I don't know who decided this thing only takes 3 hours to build at minimum because ya, it took me more like a week of doing it in chunks because it can get very tedious and frustrating at times. That said, once I was finished with it I have to say that it's the coolest model star destroyer I have. Something about the details they etched into the metal just makes everything pop out and seem more "real" in a sense. It's obviously not the most accurate model of a star destroyer, but it has this quality about it that I find cool. Lastly, there were definitely some spots where super glue was needed, maybe my fault, and there were times I had to just force parts together, especially near the end of the build. And you better have all the tools like flush cutters to cut out the insanely small parts, and tiny tweezers to bend and fold them. I love this thing though.

Challenging but not too difficult.
This kit makes a bigger model than previous Star Wars kits I've assembled from Metal Earth, and it has a lot of detail.I found the last couple of steps to be difficult, starting with step 34. It's not really clear how you fold parts #101 and 102, and it was difficult attaching the engine assembly to the upper section of the ship. This should not be your first Metal Earth model. If you're not familiar with Metal Earth kits look at my photos to see how small some of the parts for this model are. You'll do well to have pliers and a set of bending tools handy, as well as a clipping tool to cut out the pieces.

Great model
I've never built better models. These are complicated so make sure you buy it for someone who has experience with them. Buy it now.

A beautiful advanced kit to build!
My favorite Metal Earth kit! Anyone who does these kits knows that roundness is always the big challenge. This kit is mostly flat elements, but so complex and layered that it is a constantly pleasurable kit to assemble. Even the rounded or rolled pieces are late in the assembly so you are well "warmed up" in the delicate nature of the work before you face them. Very satifying build! (One tip: work extra hard to assemble the shield generators and their risers to connect as tightly as possible when adding them. They go in pretty early on, and handling the build tends creates a big risk of loosening them over time!)

Excellent IF you can get one that isn’t damaged
I ordered one of these back in July/August and my son loved it! He’s 15, it took a little while, but he loves it so much that he wanted another for Christmas. So, I ordered one, it came and the entire thing (packaging and all) was bent, which obviously made the thin metal model unusable. So I asked for another to be sent, and the same thing happened, again! So now I’m on my third attempt to get one that is not damaged!!! I really hope we can get a good one before Christmas. This is getting frustrating.

Sweet pickup
This is an awesome model. Really glad w the purchase. I still think 30 bucks is a bit high but it’s not something u think about when you finish assembling it. It took me two days to finish (granted I had limited tools) but felt very pleased once it was complete. Incredible detail, even my dad was impressed w the detail.

Great alternative to the Expensive Lego Star Destroyer
I got this model as an alternative to the massive lego star destroyer set. Plus Ive been un easy spending over $700 for a 3 ft lego set that I would not have space for. I would highly recommend this for anyone who wants a challenging build. Its fairly accurate to the star destroyer in the films. If you decide to build this, you will need A LOT of patience and time. Also the tools you would need for this are 2 pairs of tweezers. One normal set and a fine tip set used together make building this much easier than using your hands and a pair of pliers. The other thing I would recommend is that have a white piece of paper to work on. Some of the pieces you are manipulating are millimeters across and can be easily lost. Apart from those other requirements I have enjoyed building this modle.
