Scotch Long Lasting Storage

This tapes rocks. I never thought I'd love a tape. It's labeled for storage, and I can tell you it works for storage. in hot humid conditions this tape sticks, and sticks well. The packages I ship, I use this tape. it works better then regular thicker packing tape. Heck, we have Philips hue sync lights on the back of our tv, but the clips kept falling off, due to heat, duct tape wouldn't even keep them up. We pulled this out and because it's clear used this to tape the lights to the TV.... that was a year ago and those lights are still up. the tape hasn't even begun to give out. some how it does all this, and be thin. it's easy to manipulate thin. The bad part, if the open edge falls and seals onto the roll, kind of hard to find. I always fold over the cut edge a little to make a little find the edge flap. I originally bought this as a single roll, when I needed new packing tape, I just picked the first one that looked good and came with a holder/cutter. I was so impressed I came back and bought this four pack So I am never with out this tape. I really do use it for so much. I don't know how they made this tape thin, with strong lasting adhesion and also easy to remove. it's basically magic in my eyes.

***added stars due to their reply and this did ship extremely fast too... my issues was that I needed shipping tape, and this is more of a heavy duty storage tape...requiring a firm press with my hands to bond to the boxes.. once it was sealed and they sat in the truck for a few days (in summer time heat), it did bond and do its job. on to my original review, in which I presumed was shipping tape...my mistake, but their customer service is outstanding and for that, I came back to review my own review and found I was a bit too harsh... ::: original belöw this tape didn't stick well.. it is thick and strong, but I had to use a lot more of it than the cheap stuff we use at work. also the rolls don't last long (b/c the tape thickness) and imo I should've got the ultra thin tape that would've lasted a lot longer and been able to tape up more boxes. I feel this tape is good though, b/c it's so thick, but it just didn't stick as good as the cheap stuff... the only good side is when I accidentally taped my arm to a box... I was able to just peel it off without it hurting at all, the cheap stuff would've hurt. it's a cross between painters (masking) tape and clear shipping tape, but it's much much thicker. if you need to pack a lot of boxes, get the thinest tape you can find...or buy 3-5 times more than you think you may need (or else (like me), you'll be running out to a store to get more ).

This roll fits on my duck brand tape dispenser. I ship a lot of items on a weekly basis and this is the best tape I have used so far. 1.) it is a reasonable price for the linear feet you get, I paid $9.45; 2.) tape is sturdy and does not easily twist or stick together 3.) I agree with the other posts that mention this is not the stickiest tape, but I find that if you apply pressure/smooth it out once on your package that it securely adheres. When I first place the tape on the box using my tape roller, not all of the tape is actually stuck to the box, so I wouldn't say this is an issue with the tape, but more of an application/user error. I would definitely buy it again and recommend to friends.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: There could be a little more tape on each roll, but the tape is good quality.

I always buy this but I think they changed something because last several rolls arent sticking as good as prior purchases. If you changed something STOP go back to the original stuff or I'll definitely start looking for a different brand

This is my go to tape! I live in a climate where some tape just can’t survive. This stuff holds tight even when the temps dip far below zero unlike some and that’s the reason I keep paying extra for it rather than buying the cheap stuff. Nothing worse than mailing a package and having the tape give out in transit! This stuff is worth the price.

PROS: > adhesive side sticks to almost all surfaces well > thin enough that there's enough length in the roll - thick enough that it doesn't break easily > appears to hold stickiness and form despite higher temperature and humidity CONS > like all film tapes, splits too easily when pulled from the corner, requiring you to pull several inches to get the full width of the tape again > a little pricier than generic no name tapes - but premium is reasonable for the consistent quality from 3M > like all film tapes, tape edge "disappears" into the rest of the roll
