Great for people with difficulty hearing
We bought this for my wife's 96 yr. old dad 2 years ago and the sound quality and volume control are excellent. He is not a technology person and struggled with using a cell phone we had tried. This phone has receiver volume control as well as ring volume control. The only downside of the phone is that it comes with an automatic 4-rings before going to voicemail feature. I think I've read you can contact your carrier to increase the number of rings. I haven't done this yet but will follow up this review once we get that figured out, if possible. Kind of makes it difficult if you're older and can't get to the phone quickly. Otherwise, a great phone for hard of hearing folks. Nice large number pads for dialing as well!

PERFECT PHONE for senior citizens with hearing and memory loss!!
This phone is PERFECT for someone with serious hearing loss. Purchased it for my 95 year old mother who could not remember to push amplification button on the phone she had. The best feature of the phone is that the amplification is ON by default and the senior citizen does not have to remember to do anything but pick up the phone to talk. The buttons are big with large numbers, which is also a plus. Mom wears over the ear hearing aids and has zero problems using the handset. This phone is an absolute GOD SEND to anyone who has an aging parent with hearing/memory problems!! We are finally having meaningful conversations with Mom because she can actually hear us!

MAJOR Static
AT&T came to the house to find out why phone was only producing a very loud static noise. They determined there was a bare wire inside the unit. I bought this for my Mom and it lasted just a couple of months. The other phone in the house was and is still working fine. My opinion is lousy quality control. I would not recommend this phone as no telling what else could go wrong. Not a cheap phone so very disappointed with this purchase. My window to return this phone ended just 1 and a half months ago. Wonder if manufacturer stands behind their products. I don't know how to contact them but will look into it. Still have box and paper work that came with it.

Great Office Phone
My husband is getting older and this phone is perfect! The buttons are large and visible and the volume is good. We ordered a cheaper phone and it was horrible. So glad we gave this a try!

It is loud but annoying hissing and back ground sound
This phone works well but at high volume (decibels) it has some hissing and a little static. It's not as clear as should be when the boost is on. As a regular phone without using the boost and high volume it works well. The speaker sounds much better than the handset but everyone and your neighbors can hear it. On the other end I was told that I sounded like I was in a can. I's also easy to use.

Lots of Amplification, and Lots of Line Noise
This phone works fairly well for my mom, who has a severe hearing loss. The problem is, once the volume has been raised sufficiently for her to hear well, she is somewhat bothered by the amount of hiss and static on the line. I'm guessing this is a result of the high degree of amplification she requires. The slight amount of background noise that's present on most phone lines, is amplified right along with everything else. Some sort of noise filter, or squelch control, would be very helpful and improve overall performance considerably.

High volume and being able to understand other people
Got the phone today everything was easy to understand there was little or no background noise and it is very high volume. Just had it for few hours like it so far. It didn’t last it quickly be come very hard to understand and the power boost died that’s when in gave up and am sending it back.

Great for handicapped customers who would like to screen incoming calls
I have a mom who’s getting up in the years. She’s not very mobile and her eyesight is not good.Sometimes she gets a call where she can’t answer the phone in time. She’s beyond the capability of checking caller id to see who just called her. So, she calls her children asking, “did you just try to call me”.This phone is great because you can record a voice as well as a special ring to a pre-programmed telephone number, so she can distinguish between “real” calls and spam calls. My only criticism right now is that I wish the speed dial buttons were bigger and they could contain big letters for easier dialing. The current unit has a slide out directory to correlate the speed dial buttons to the recipient.

Defective device
Telephone had to be returned, at our mailing expense since the vendor, J.M. Prime doesn't pay for return postage as most Amazon merchandise is easily returned at no expense. Device was not working properly and requested a refund. Would not purchase from this vendor again due to return policy.
