Lakeland 5 Speed Hand Mixer & Stand Mixer with Rotating Bowl Matt Black 3.5L

Wanted a replacement for old hand mixer, saw this and thought it a good idea to have something to use as both. Only used for making Victoria sponges so far but really pleased with results. Good value for a compact and sturdy machine, Lakeland have a good reputation and offer a 3 year guarantee as well. Delivery timescale and packaging quality great as well.

Mine came with box damaged but I tried it anyway. Lever to tilt head wouldn’t move. Returned to Amazon.Had it been peopled would have happily kept and used daily.

After 3 months happy mixing as a secondary machine went to use the dough hooks- faulty. Contacted seller. Very apologetic. They said they would replace but didn't. Waited and waited.Had to contact Amazon. Few days later got a response - sorry,been on holiday. Plain ignorance. Avoid.

I made some of my Mother's recipe scones! the mixer blended the ingredients well, without there being a 'dead' patch in the bowl that wasn't mixed. Even though the recipe is quite dry, the mixer coped well with it. I have not used it without the stand yet, but plan to do so soon.

The cradle release lever was hard to push down and on applying pressure the cradle came away from the stand. The hand mixer works okay alone and that is what I have been using. Did not return item as I needed a mixer for my holiday baking. I am a fan of LakeLand products reason I chose this one.

It arrived well ahead of the expected date. I have used it a few times and it has made baking much easier. I have managed to bake much lighter sponges. I would highly recommend it.

Item looked good but was returned as I do a lot of baking and was looking something stronger
