My 4 * 8 year old grandsons had a small old piece of a cardboard box holding about 15 very used bristle blocks but one of them always seems to be playing with them. The 4 year old had a birthday coming so a good excuse for me to get them more, they love building things. The little one also goes to the office with Mom so I thought this would be perfect. He absolutely loves them and can carry them to work in their little case and stay very entertained. Great Value. It is a little difficult to get them all back in their case so it will shut tight, but is doable with a little patience. Great tactile gift for kids, they feel interesting and very easy to manipulate.

I bought these for my then one year old and a year later, she still loves them. I also notice that older kids (7 year olds) love to play with these too. I will say there are a couple of chocking hazard size pieces so remove those before letting your littles play with it! Otherwise, it’s a great toy to encourage imagination!

...if slightly lighter in weight. some of the pieces are odd, like the wheels. To me bristle blocks were something I just felt I needed to buy for my toddler/youngin'. As a child in kindergarten, these were an early introduction to just mashing things together brute force style, which is a fun alternative to blocks, when preschoolers and kindergartners are learning how to use their hands. 4/5 stars since I would have liked maybe a better block choice and some of the pieces just don't seem as durable as I remember them. These blocks should last a long time though.

We LOVE these blocks. I have a 2.5 year old son and was trying to find him some blocks he could use to create interesting shapes with that would be easy for his small hands to connect. These are perfect! Easy to connect (there was a little bit of a learning curve at first but he caught on quick), and so many possibilities! He has already figured out how to create a few animals and his own version of himself, which is cute. He has also created many airplanes. It makes him feel very accomplished and proud of himself. I will warn you- if your kid is like mine they may take apart all of the wheels in this set of blocks. My kid loves to take apart everything he can, and the wheels of these blocks can be stripped down into pieces so that they don't work as wheels anymore, which is a little annoying. If you or your kid ends up wanting to build with wheels after they've done this, you have to figure out how to put the wheels back together (which is a hassle, because it requires 3 or 4 different small pieces that make up one working wheel). This doesn't take anything away from how much I love the blocks, I just wanted to give you a fair warning and maybe let the creators know they should create a wheel that is one whole piece that can't be taken apart or just not include wheels in a set.I do intend on buying another set eventually when my kids get older and have more intricate plans, but for now my kiddos are very entertained with just this one set of 112 pieces.

My 4.5 year old autistic son plays with these each and every day. I think he likes the sensory input of the bristles, but he also can apply his imagination to create an unlimited number of creations. These are bright colors, myriad of shapes, and have some spinning parts - spinning being a nice tool to soothe him. I had bristle blocks as a kid and it is so cool that my little guy likes them so much!

Bristle blocks are a constant favorite of our grand children. We took a bucket to the hospital for an ill child. All children could play taking stress off parents.
