Chaos -CTR Chinook Micro Fleece Balaclava

The product came in nice packaging and was well protected. The balaclava itself is made of a nice soft, stretchy fleece that is itch-free on the skin. The product feels high quality and has nice stitching around the eye cutout, which is edged with elastic to ensure a snug fit. The balaclava stretches down far enough to be tucked into your coat or shirt so it doesn't bunch up. The only thing I didn't like when I got it was the terribly itchy tag on the neck portion. However, the tag easily ripped off without any damage to the balaclava itself.Recently, I has gotten pretty cold in the midwest and this product does a good job of blocking out cold and wind while not making you sweat. It isn't as thick as I would have imagined, but it does the job. It is also advertised as a liner for a helmet; although I haven't used it for that purpose, the product fits pretty snug and is thin enough you should have no issue wearing this under a helmet. Overall, excellent product.

I got this item because I ride my bike to school and work whenever I can to save on gas and I wanted to have a spare balaclava. Unfortunately this item was almost out of stock so sizes were limited as was time to decide whether or not to chance the L/XL size. Needless to say I bought it and the item came in a timely manner (didn't even take 4 business days or maybe just 4 days in total). After I opened the item I noticed automatically how soft the material is. Upon trying it on the L/XL size is a little loose but near beggars can't be choosers.The balaclava does wear well despite the size issue. It always feels incredibly comfortable with its material. However, I did find it a little difficult to breathe with my nose covered by it. But what can you expect with polyester. Overall, this is a good product for the price; it is just a shame that there weren't more in stock when I looked.

I bought this for the cold. I live in Boston. Little did I know that it was imbued with the mystical powers of the ninja! As soon as I donned this black shroud, something took over me that I had not expected. I instinctively reached for a new feeling on my back. It was a sword! I drew it forth as the snow began to fall and before I know it, a rival clan of ninja emerged from the shadows. They wore the white of the frozen north like Storm Shadow, the great nemesis of Snake Eyes. All at once, they charge me, swords drawn. They didn't make a sound, but I knew the death that approached. With what seemed like a single stroke, I swung my sword in a way that I didn't know possible. My eyes were closed at the moment. When I opened them, the rogue ninja lay all around, fallen and defeated. The victory was mine.

Pros - Warm, Comfortable, Able to fit it under bike helmetCons - Fogs up sunglassesI wear this balaclava when biking to my university campus during the winter. It is thick enough to keep my face warm in cold temps but also thin enough to comfortably fit under my helmet. I also wear sunglasses while biking to prevent my eyes from getting dry, the balaclava does not offer much breathability and fogs up my glasses if I have it pulled up over my nose. In order to counteract this you can just pull the bottom of the opening of the balaclava down so that your nose is exposed, thus causing the air you breath out to not go straight up behind your glasses. Also, you can cut out a small hole near the mouth and replace it with a more breathable fabric.Overall, I like this balaclava and would recommend it to anyone needing to keep their face warm when doing any sort of outdoor activities during the winter.

I got this for a friend who does paintball and he loves it. His only gripe was the bright, reflective logo on the front of the brow. It is thick enough to prevent much pain from a paintball strike and I assume that means that it will be exceptionally warm in the winter as well (all 3 weeks of it we have here in Texas). The opening for the eyes is just big enough to avoid discomfort or red lines to the face from goggles, but not small enough to obscure vision. The long neck covering is handy for tucking into a shirt and, again, I assume this will be very warm for the colder days.

Just tried this out today. It's made out of the same poly/rayon type material as the cheap generics, but it actually keeps you warm. The key is that only your eyes and nose(you can briefly cover your nose too) shows. I use it for biking, where the key is not to breath in through your mouth the cold air. It wasn't really freezing today, but it clearly kept the air out. It's not a tight fit like a glove, so some air gets in around the forehead etc. That is sort of good though for people who wear glasses like me, since else-wise my glasses would steam up. In fact they do when I stop for a bit, and clears up once I'm in motion, as the wind creeps in and removes the built up steam. Not a bulky item at all, fits well under my helmet. The neck part is long enough (at least for me)to reach my scarf and keep the entire neck covered. Better than anything I've tried yet...

I bought this balaclava for use on my bike commute to work. I have worn it in temperature around freezing (0 Celsius, 32 Fahrenheit.) At those temperatures, it keeps my head toasty warm, even on downhills and on days with strong wind.The only con I have experienced is that the material is difficult to breath through on uphills or other times of extreme respiratory exertion. I am in good shape and commute daily via bike as well as running 4-5 miles regularly, so my respiratory conditioning is more than adequate. This con is not a significant problem to me on my commute, but it might matter if someone was considering this balaclava for use during competition. For those users, I recommend a balaclava or head covering which does not obscure the mouth/nose.

Premetto che non l'ho preso per le mie escursioni in montagna non come sotto-casco.Realizzata in materiali di qualità ha un ottimo rapporto/qualità prezzo.Tiene caldo per diverse ore anche a temperature vicine allo zero.Il materiale a contatto con la pelle è soffice e piacevole, avvolge la faccia senza essere troppo aderente da dar fastidio; le cuciture sono ben fatte e non si sentono.Consigliatissimo!

Frau sieht zwar aus, als würde sie ne Bank überfallen wollen, aber das Teil hält wirklich warm. Fahrrd und Minusgrade.. dazu Wind und man ist geschützt. Bin zu frieden, das was ich gesucht habe. Nur mal schnell in den Supermarkt sollte man nicht gehen, sondern vorher das Teil ab, sonst wird man die ganze Zeit vom Sicherheitsdienst unauffällig begleitet *lol* Hab mich dann entschuldigt und Helm und Sturmhaube abgenommen. Dann war wieder alles fein. :-) Ja. daran muss man echt denken.

Solicité el pasamontañas en tamaño pequeño/mediano y me quedó un poco grande/holgado, sin embargo, la apertura para los ojos es adecuada. Lo utilizo para andar en la moto debajo del casco y es increible porque no entra nada de frío ni en el cuello ni en la boca/nariz. La tela, aunque delgada, se siente resistente además de que es calientita. Le daría 5 estrellas pero creo que deberían tener más tamaños.

Die gelieferte "Oma" ist eine recht dünne Maske, an der Nase drückt es, dort ist keine "Ausbuchtung" eingearbeitet, so dass man eine Pressnase bekommt, sollte man diese Maske länger tragen müssen. Vielleicht sollte man dort nacharbeiten?Die Lieferung klappte problemlos, verpackt war alles ordentlich.

No me gusto para nada el producto, se me hace bastante caro para la claidad, yo esperaba un producto de mayor calidad por el precio, sin dudar lo regrere inmediatamente
