Finally something my skin doesn’t react to!!!
I know this isn’t the most popular sunblock out there, but I’m so glad I found it. I have tried many, many brands, and I even bought Babo once before, used it, wasn’t all that impressed, and went back to trying some of the same things from before and others that were new to me. I’ve tried ones recommended by my dermatologist. There are the typical ones that are supposed to work for sensitive skin. I’ve tried Neutrogena (several formulas), Blue Lizard, Aveena, Mary Kay, No Name for Faces, Vanicream, CeraVe, and more. I would go back to Babo every so often, but I’m going to be honest, that I didn’t care for the smell, and I didn’t like the way it applied. It’s not horrible, but it can take some effort to get it to blend in.I’m in my 60s, and I was having an awful, really awful time with my skin constantly breaking out. It was especially bad on my nose. Sometimes I had little red bumps that were watery and other times whiteheads. I was using a generic retin-a AND a clay mask, which kind of helped, but it never lasted. There were days when I avoided using sunblock, and I would still break out! What I think happened was I wasn’t giving my skin enough time to get over reacting to all the chemicals from the other formulas.CeraVe was the one that seemed to take me over the edge. It gets wonderful reviews, but it made my skin worse than ever. I knew I had less problems in the past when I used Babo, so I decided to give it another try. But this time I stuck with it for awhile, and I didn’t use anything else. Well, I’m here to tell you that my skin has really cleared up. It’s the best it’s been in years. I had one little bump on my nose today, but it’s been weeks since that’s happened. The whiteheads I was constantly fighting along the sides of my nose (right in the crease) have dramatically improved. I’m ecstatic to finally have nice skin again!!Please don’t ever change this formula.

Great mineral natural sunscreen
I love this product and will stick with this brand - its easy to apply and spread into my face and arms for good coverage against sunburn, and it does not have chemicals I avoid putting on my body. The cream starts out white-ish on the face but easy to rub in.

Works great!
The face sunscreen is really thick and applies VERY white. A little goes a long way and has a glue-like consistency but once it absorbs it works well. Body sunscreen is great!

Repurchase 3rd
I'm using it well. It doesn't irritate the skin. I like this kind of white charcoal sunscreen, but my skin looks good.

This is not the holy grail sunscreen I'd hoped for!
I found this sunscreen by searching on the Environmental Working Group's sunscreen website. It was one of the only highly rated moisturizer sunscreens above SPF 30.PROS:Environmentally friendly (EWG rating: 2)High SpfRelatively MatteUnoffensive, faint scentOnce it's rubbed in it doesn't pillLeaves a minimal white castDoesn't seem to make my adult acne worseInexpensive (compared to the brands described below)CONS:Difficult to work with— It can go on clear but you really have to work with it quickly so it is absorbed and goes on even. It tends to want to build up and dry in places which becomes difficult to smooth back out and will just rub off instead. Not a product i'm able to use "on-the-go".I've taken to mixing it with a drop of Josie Maran to make it less temperamental to apply, and that seems to work OK.As a woman in her early 30's that's trying to prevent skin aging I've become obsessed with finding the right physical sunscreen. I've tried Paula's choice tinted SPF 30 (great btw if it matches your tone, but rubs off on clothing), Josie Maran untinted SPF 47 (bulletproof, but really greasy), EltaMD SPF 47 (great texture but expensive and I got burned wearing it on a long walk), LaRoche Posay Mineral SPF 50 tinted (stung my eyes), and they were all horribly rated by the EWG. I do care about the environmental impact, toxicity, but also the cosmetic properties of a sunscreen. I wanted something for every day with 30+ SPF that would protect my skin from aging, nourish it, go on easily, have a matte finish, and would not rub off or leave a white cast. Oh, yeah and not overly expensive. Maybe my expectations were too high!?I've made this work for me but if someone reads this who has truly found a holy grail sunscreen that I describe above, please comment and let me know!

Aluminum Hydroxide
Update, August 2018 - The newly ordered version has Aluminum Hydroxide as a second ingredient. I'm avoiding anything aluminum due to its effect on brain. It's a known neurotoxin that has a direct link to Alzheimer's disease. "Skin is permeable to aluminum salts when, for example, they are topically applied. According to researchers at Keele University "It will accumulate in the skin and be transported to sites throughout the body. It is highly likely that the everyday use of sunscreens/sunblocks is an hitherto unrecognised contributor of aluminium to the human body burden of this non-essential metal. Perhaps of immediate significance is the potential for aluminium in the skin to act as a pro-oxidant.""Original Review - Have been searching for a natural, physical, lightweight sunscreen suitable for oily, sensitive skin. Like it because it doesn't contain dimethicone and is not water-resistant, suitable for everyday use. It would have been perfect if had a matte finish - it leaves a slight sheen - and if they make it completely non-comedogenic. But good enough to order a second one.
