Luckily, I've got a shepherd that loves going for long car rides. We typically put our pooch in the back cargo area of our SUV but wanted to try this back seat cover to allow her to be closer to us during long trips and to free up our cargo area for luggage, etc. Unfortunately, after our last long trip using this car seat cover, it's being relegated to the closet of expensive trial and error.Pros:High quality and relatively thick materialFits the back seat like a gloveEasy installationBuilt in pockets are great for leash, poo bags and snacksCons:Rubber backing does not hold this thing in place causing it to bunch up and shift everytime my dog moved aroundMy dog could not find a comfortable position due to the constant shifting of the seat coverNo straps or tie downs on the bottom front section to keep it in place and prevent shiftingMicrofiber material is like a dog hair magnet on steroidsI bought this seat cover based on the tons of great reviews but I can't be the only one that experienced the slip and slide of the seat cover. The rubber backing would not hold the bottom portion of the cover on our seats. Not sure if it was because of the leather seats in my SUV, but there is nothing that keeps the bottom front portion of the seat cover from shifting around even with it strapped to the front head rests. Even with those round plastic tubular things tucked into the seats, it still didn't prevent the front portion from sliding, shifting and bunching up. During a 2 hour ride, my shepherd was constantly moving and shifting around just to find a comfortable position, but every time she moved around the seat cover kept on sliding around and bunching up underneath her. Mind you, my dog typically plops down and just enjoys the view but she was obviously uncomfortable as she was constantly adjusting positions.Unfortunately, since the seat cover is now used, I can't return it. Pay heed if you have leather seats. Hope this helps.

At first, I was very happy with this car seat cover. I purchased it in September prior to delivery of my new vehicle in October. I did not have my license until January 2016 so the seat cover did not see much use until February 2016! I should share that I have a wonderful miniature poodle who will squirt a little when she is upset or excited so this was my purchase in advance to protect my car. In addition, I like to take both of my poodles on hikes in the fields of a local state park - no mud but they still drop sand and dirt on the seats.But after @ 20 hours of use, problems. Once it was washed with Dreft (laundry detergent that I use for baby clothing and my horse blankets which is very gentle on fabrics with no additives), it was no longer water proof! In addition, the brown colored backing "nubs" started dropping off all over the back seat...at first, I thought I had the exoskeletons from bugs all over the place! The zipper in the middle failed and the seam is beginning to rip.Unfortunately, this item was only returnable for 3 months. The seat cover has been use for less than 3 months.

Worked very well for a long car ride. Secures well at the tops and the pockets are a great addition.My only complaint was the installation kit. To me it appeared to be incomplete. For the part that goes between the seat and the back so the bottom of the hammock locks into place, they provided a webbing with a small plastic tube in two places. There was nothing for that to attach to. I ended up buying some velcro straps. I ran those straps from the plastic tubes to the child seat attachments on the back of the seat. This locked the hammock in place so the dogs could lean toward the front seat and not allow the hammock to fall into the foot wells. I then noticed the middle, between driver seat and passenger seat was also sagging but the hammock did not have a third support like I used before. It did though have two holes for seat belts. I used the same velcro strapping to help secure this middle part by going through the two seat belt holes and attaching to the same child seat secure points on the back. Dogs could them walk anywhere in the hammock and it did not move.

This is the 3rd or 4th dog seat cover I've bought, and it's by far the best. It's relatively non-slip both on the seat and under the dog's feet (I have a big & clumsy dog that moves around a lot and pulls the cover with her), it's soundless (which might seem irrelevant but the last one was like a slicker & very annoyingly noisy), it attaches very well to the back of the rear seat (not just bands over the headrests but also a strap around the back of the seat), and it's large enough to cover everything. I wish it were a little more padded, as my rear seat is a distinctly "bucketed" bench seat, but otherwise they seem to have thought of everything.

This seatcover is perfect! It fits well, is well made and appears to be very durable. It has even has built in protection for the sides of the seat. There are extra secure points on the seat cover to make sure that it stays in place, along with a backing that is skid resistant. It looks good and does an even better job. It was much nicer than we had hoped. Our girl especially enjoys the hammock feature so she can stretch out even further and we also appreciate it as it protects our black carpet from her fawn hair!! We love the cover and our boxer does too!!
