long lasting and effective
I bought 4 of these in July of 2015. three of them are mounted up under the eaves of the house and they are still going strong. I have to replace the 4'th one just now because a branch fell off the tree and broke it. but it was out near the barn ON A TREE IN THE WEATHER for 3.5 years - in all that time it was out in the rain and snow and worked perfectly. I've the replaced rechargeable batteries in these cameras ONCE in all that time. GOOD rechargeable batteries will last 22 -24 months. those in them now will need replacing in another few months. these are GREAT for the money and are very effective deterrents.

Don't Waste Your Money
Don't waste your money. Solar "charger" not even connected to battery/anything inside. Couldn't get any battery to get the light blinking (re-chargeable or otherwise). Looks, feels and is cheap. Fair price would be about $4-5 for just the fake plastic camera - because that's all you're really getting.

Dummy solar powered camera
Worked from June to February and then because it is not waterproof, it rusted where the batteries are and quit working.
