Big bang for your buck! A definite buy!
If you already own or have your eye set on one of Sony's RX100 line of cameras, the Hohem iSteady Multi makes for an excellent companion. After a successful and laborious setup (more on that below,) I paired this sturdy Hohem to my Sony RX100 VII. I found it to be delightfully simple in form and function. You can pan, tilt, zoom, snap a photo, and record a video with just one hand. Taking a selfie is made easy by allowing you to line up a professional grade photo with just one hand while you use the other to keep your darling close or hold a distant object in the palm of your hand. Video mode is where the Hohem iSteady Multi really shines. Your videos will no longer be accompanied by that distracting shake. Those whom you'll undoubtedly be showing off your art to will now be able to focus on your work and enjoy the cinematic quality that the iSteady brings to the table. When I used my phone (Galaxy Note9) I found myself worried that I would break the screen if I were to quickly and drastically lower the elevation as the phone will come into contact with a portion of the gimbal. For me, using the gimbal with my phone is not the most viable option. If you have a smaller or regular sized phone then I'm confident the iSteady will work as advertised. Speaking of the phone, when the iSteady is paired with it via the Hohem app, you can remotely operate the gimbal when it's set on a tripod, allowing for those awe inspiring photos that capture all if you in all of your surroundings. What I didn't like: (minus .25 stars)Setup - The initial setup is anything but a turn key operation. However, it is worth your time to do properly. While the app provides a step by step instruction for updating the firmware and calibrating your new gimbal, it never tells you to mount your camera back to the gimbal before powering on again. I calibrated mine 3 times before the thought struck me. If you try turning it on before mounting your phone or camera the gimbal won't stabilize and makes a dreadful grinding noise.User manual - the manual is not as thorough as it truly needs to be. For example, even a single page explaining how to connect your RX100 to the iSteady via the supplied cable would have been greatly appreciated. To be fair I did find a single mention stating the cable needed to be connected to the camera to work.Use - My only critique here is that there is a mechanical stop that prevents you from holding the gimbal straight down and keep the lens parralel to the ground. Despite the very minor issues I had, the Hohem iSteady Multi is well worth your attention, especially at this price. You won't regret your purchase.

Not Compatible With iPhone 11 Pro Max
My iPhone 11 Pro Max keeps hitting the big round roll motor during rotation and when the gimbal is powerless and turned off. Fortunately, my phone has screen protector. The gimbal is not compatible with iPhone 11 Pro Max and too weak to hold the phone (the iPhone cameras must be too heavy). The gimbal vibrates when there is weight imbalance. I returned the gimbal.

Keep your cams light...
This is a great product for the price. I use it with my galaxy phone and the bluetooth works well. I even got it to work with my old DSC Sony TX10 (no bluetooth though). I may step up to another model and see if it will work with my Coolpix P520.

Just a little useful help might be nice
I have a hard time understanding why the manual reads like it was completed using Google Translate. Why not simply hire a native speaker to do a meaningful translation? It would make things far easier. The Youtube movies aren't much better. Especially because Hohem dumped tutorials for many of their models into one playlist and pasted the translated text into an closed caption of the movie. An email to customer tech support was poorly answered after a delay. The actual stabilizer was ok. It performs better with a small iphone. It struggles a little with a lightweight Panasonic compact at 312g, meaning that one can hear the motors working. This is of course audible in the video. Still, it works better than not using the stabilizer.

Poor set up instructions, Need better documentations, still not sync'ing with Go pro
Control buttons too small, sometimes unresponsive to initial touch. Not easy to calibrate and sync with Go pro cams.Documentation has very poor English. Need more graphic direction if English is a problem. On power off the arm and cameras dangle helplessly one has to catch it to prevent damage. Design is good but functionality can be improvedwith simpler auto calibration to cameras it is intended to use.

Balances quickly. Large phones are a problem. Great for smaller cameras.
Bad points first: I have a few gimbals from a few manufacturers. This id my third from Hohem. One thing I hate with every gimbal they make - the joystick falls off. It has happened to all of them. Now the first thing I do when ordering a replacement ($15 for a 1 cent piece of plastic) is super glue them in place. Seriously - you WILL lose yours (photo #2.) The next problem with this gimbal is with larger cell phones. When tilting downwards they'll hit the support arm. You need to do this strange wrist-twist and get the gimbal upside-down. Go to far and it tries to straighten itself out and you have to manually grab the camera and force it back into position. The button and trigger require a hard press that bottoms them out - a light press does nothing. At first I thought the gimbal was broken. Nope. I did not press the button hard enough to change modes. So - the good. Really easy to balance. Took me about 10 seconds. Common sense to use. Lightweight. Has a nice camera mount included and an even nicer camera mounting system. Plus there's a USB connection on the gimbal that can control some cameras and power some cameras. Connector for micro-USB included. Nice compact-mini tripod included that doubles as a handle extension. Bluetooth can control most smart phones and some cameras. Decent enough case that keeps everything safe and has room for some small cameras (nice touch there!)I tried this with a few phones, GoPro's and compact pocket cameras. It balanced them all with no problem. Heck I did not even use the app until I wanted to test it - the gimbal is that easy to use.

First time gimbal buyer! Was totally blown away!
First gimbal purchase. I bought the I steady multi because I have a go pro camera and iPhone. This gimbal makes perfect sense for all three uses. I tested the functionality of the gimbal and it’s performance out did my expectations. The app that you use with your iPhone and gimbal is loaded with features. This totally blew me away. I highly recommend this product to anyone! Great value all in all.

Great GoPro Gimbal!
This is a great gimbal! We use these when we film live events because we can carry them around or pass them to audience members. This one works great, keeping the footage steady no problem. I'm very happy with it!

good for price point and three in one feature
1. Build Quality - Vergy good, has metallic appeal and rugged features.2. Ease of use - very easy to setup and run even without manual.3. Product design - average: not compatible with all point and shoot and mobile phone. The width is not enough. if your point and shoot is similar to Leica Dlux5 then this camera will require additional adapters.4. Packaging and Presentation - good packaging and presentation.5. Accessories - the start-up kit is good.

PATHETIC SERVICE!
I received a used product like seen above in the photos and there is no refund and return of the product, ONLY REPLACEMENT!!!!The company claims a lot about the balancing of this gimbal which again I did not see any, maybe the prior owner was a rough user or there is a manufacturing defect. Either way I stuck with a product I don't like to spend money on and doesn't freaking work!SUCH A PATHETIC SCAM THIS IS!

build quality is good, stabilization is not well. received on time.
The footage is shaking when we're walking. Gimbal calibration is also a problem, discription in the manual is confusing.

I received a defective piece!
The media could not be loaded. Find the attached video. The gyros are making lot noise. The vibrations are so much that the camera also starts vibrating.I've requested for replacement, I'll change the rating after I get the replacement.
