Popped it into my computer, went into BIOS and ...
Popped it into my computer, went into BIOS and enabled it. The first time through Windows got an error trying to enable bitlocker, but I reset the TPM module and gave it another go. That time had no issue, Bitlocker is enabled and running smoothly. Shows up as enabled & owned in the BIOS now. Works without any additional drivers using Windows 10 enterprise. :)

hard to get TPM module recognized. had to return. maybe a bad module, I hope
flaky! BIOS would not detect the TPM module. Found that the module rocks back and forth too easily, doesn't make a solid connection. Was able to boot a few times, get BIOS to recognize, even turn on BitLocker in Win10... BUT... a few days later a boot required a manual key to be entered. I couldn't get the module to be recognized again. Ordering again, hoping it was just a bad module and not a general problem with TPM modules not seating solid on MSI mobos and thus unreliable. Entering the long key manually, by getting it on another computer, is too painful to use even one. MSI Z170A

Check BIOS w/ TPM turn on first, and Windows 2012 server is NOT supported
For people who claims it is not working, please check your BIOS and make sure the TPM is turn on and supported first. For windows users, I "believe" it is working as expected, but why I said 3 STARs here? Because its software driver didn't support Windows 2012 Essential Server, unfortunately. When I try to use BitLocker w/ TPM, it can't find this TPM. From Windows's TPM manager, it is there. I try to search online and it seems like it only supported to Windows 7/8/8.1, not Windows server version. I am the lucky one using my Windows 2012 Essential Server as file server who cares about the encryption on disk, but it is not supported.

Works with MSI Tomahawk B450
I am using this module with a MSI ARSENAL GAMING B450 TOMAHAWK AMD Motherboard. The module installed just fine, and I was able to update the BIOS to start using it. I then set up Windows Hello with a Kaysuda IR webcam. If you're having trouble finding where the TPM module should be installed, sometimes the BIOS will have a diagram of your motherboard to tell you where it goes. My connector was labeled "JTPM" but I basically just looked for the pins that would fit.

TPM works for Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard
Works on my GIGABYTE MU70-SU0 ATX Server Motherboard with Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard with BitLocker Drive Encryption. My Gigabyte motherboard uses a smaller form factor header. Before one purchases this TPM, make sure the header is correct for the motherboard. Installation and configuration is easy. Went into the BIOS and enabled TPM; server needed to restart. Then I had to go into the BIOS again and initialize the TPM. This is annoying but needs to be done in order for it to work.

Didn't work out for me
Came much earlier than indicated which was good. However, there was no disc with it although Windows 10 Pro did add the driver for it but it failed to work correctly from the first attempt. TPM.msc program kept saying to clear the device and restart but the same message to clear it would not stop appearing.and it also stated it would not work to full capacity. Called MSI and determined that my MSI motherboard required a newer part than this one. This may be due to the board using the new AMD AM4 Ryzen processor and not the older AM3. It also did not have the MSI logo on the board as the one I ordered from MSI shows so it may not be genuine. It looks like most folks have had no problem with this TPM and that is good. I am sorry that I had to get a newer version for my MOBO. The price was lower but the shipping was over $15!!!! That's a lot considering this little guy could be sent with a first class stamp.

Works great on Win8.1 Pro
I bought this module so that I could Bitlocker encrypt my boot drive on Windows 8.1 Pro. I take my rig to LAN parties and I get nervous about my data should the system "walk away" when I'm not looking. This module plugged right in to my MSI H77MA-G43 mainboard. The header was right below the PCIe x8 slot, and the module didn't interfere with the use of the PCIe slot at all. Next, I enabled the TPM module in the UEFI BIOS. FYI, the setting to enable the TPM module is under the Security panel in the UEFI BIOS, not the standard Settings panel. With everything looking good, I booted up into Windows 8.1 Pro, which detected the module and installed the drivers automatically when I logged in. I did not use any of the software on the included disc. I was able to Bitlocker encrypt my boot drive with no issues.
