Ferry Morse Pumpkin Big Max Vegetable Seed

So far so good! I planted 5 seeds and every one germinated. In fact, being a newbie to pumpkin growing, I had to pull 3 out of the 5 because they grew like crazy and took over my small garden. The 2 remaining are growing like mad, have just flowered after about a month after initial planting. If the robust growth is any indication, I should have some nice pumpkins in a couple months just in time for Halloween. Looking forward to what these things put out, but if I only get one or two good ones, it sure beats paying $30 bucks for one at a farmer's market in October.

These pumpkin seeds are great! My 4 year old loves Halloween so when I heard the local pumpkin patch was getting ready to plant pumpkins, I thought we could grow one ourselves this year too! I ordered them and as fast as can be expected, they arrived in a nice mail packet. My dad, the green thumb in our family, planted a few seeds with my son. We only have room for one pumpkin but it's been growing steadily for weeks. We are so excited to watch it grow. You can find us in our pumpkin patch looking for the great pumpkin of 2015!

Unfortunately, none of my seeds grew. I planted all of them in potting soil and kept them carefully watered indoors to get them started in full sun but only one plant emerged and it died quickly. I have never had a green thumb so perhaps I share some of the responsibility. On the other hand, I carefully followed instructions.

only 1 of my seeds grew a plant. planted 100 seeds of connecticut variety and i had good success with that, but these big max were a flop. i would not recommend.

I planted these in my big pumpkin patch and they grew good.

Would love to have more pumpkins on the vines, but the ones that did grow were large and made wonderful deserts

Out of all the seeds only one took. They were all maintained the same. Of course you can expect several to not take but for only one to work was disappointing. The one that did take has produced amazing pumpkins though. Maybe it was just the batch that came to me.

These seeds are super long lasting and dependable. I bought them in May of 2015 and didn't get around to planting until fully two years later. Little guys sprouted and are going strong! Excited for homegrown pumpkins this fall.
