Surprizingly easy to replace
I was concerned with all the review that I read that this product did not work but the retainer box on my son's North Face down jacket broke off and its out of warranty so for $10.00...what the heck. I received them yesterday and removed what was left of the old plastic retainer box and slipped the new one on. I didnt have the crimpers they sold seperately but I had needle nose pliers which I got to work. The zipper works great and I have extra in case it were to come off. Even if I get a year out of it I will be happy since my son will probably out grown it in one year. Would definately buy again!

Works great
Got my zipper caught and ripped the end off it. I checked with a local repair shop, and they said the only thing they could do was replace the whole zipper, and it was going to cost me more than what I paid for the jacket in the first place. Then I found these, and was able to put a new end piece on, and it works perfectly.

Perfect for those favorite items with a broken zipper
Great gift in a really cool quality tin with a screw lid. I love how the lid screws and won't just come apart. Unless you know what your doing and know how the metal bends and may break if overworked, you should really get a zipper crimping tool thingy lol. I was able to use some custom ground, shirt nosed needle nose pliers and a framing nail I ground down to certain shape so I could crimp and set the barbs into material so it will hold well, for a long time. Great item with quality zippers and stops.

Don't waste your money. These are not for jackets.
I was so disappointed with these. They look like they are for doll clothes, baby clothes, or children's clothes. They are definitely not for adult jackets. Be warned!

Zipper Repair
Nothing so frustrating to have a zipper (part) fail on a perfectly good coat. These parts saved throwing a coat suede coat away.

Work great, but you have to glue and crimp them
These work great, I used them for a #5 nylon coil zipper and it worked fine. I used some super glue and a pair of pliers to crimp the box and pin onto the zipper. The jacket lives again with new bottom box!

You can do it easily.
Everything worked perfectly. I could have used a video ir written note that I would have a piece break off in order to make th shaft fit tightly to the fabric.

did not work for me (updated)
Thought I could get it to work but they didn't, were not made very well and they would fall off. They need to be made stronger.
